Where the mad dogs stay

Is where the wolf will hatch

Find your way,

And the patient will crack.

"What the hell does this mean?" (Y/n) muttered as she scratched her head. In the envelope, a key resided along with the note (Y/n) had just read. She scratched her head harder, frustrated, and lost.

As of right now, Oryn was in his room dealing with stress, so (Y/n) took it upon herself to find the next clue herself; the kitchen drawer.

She only had a matter of time before it was too late.

Let's backtrack:

Oryn's grandparents died right as Oryn and (Y/n) were leaving the residence, and upon further investigation, the servant that was in charge of bringing them there gave the couple up and tattled, saying that they were at the Scofeld's; meaning that as of now, Oryn and (Y/n) were the top suspects.

Gendrick was trying to put them both in prison.

(Y/n) needed to find the clues and place them together, find the will, Oryn's biological father, and prove Gendrick guilty all before her court case which was in two weeks.

On top of all of that, (Y/n) wouldn't bother to ask Oryn for help, given his situation, so she was now working with the least possible information she could get and with limited time.

Now, resume to where she is now.

(Y/n) hit her head over and over in frustration, thinking of possible things as to what this riddle meant. She shook her head, giving up, and rushed to the next location: the vent.

(Y/n) wasn't completely sure where this vent was, which meant she would have to do some deep searching. It looked to be above a large door in a hallway she had never seen before. She went through the castle top to bottom, looking at all of the vents, but to no avail. None matched. She sighed and thought about Mila's memory.

The very first place she had gone was the cellar. Oryn had already picked up what she placed there, but it was worth looking again.

She made her way down the cellar and looked around, remembering her first few days in there. The origami still lay on the bench, which she made her way over to. Picking up a small giraffe, she gave it a small smile. It was sad, small, and lonely after being left down here for so many years.

She looked at the giant origami eye that had freaked her out so much on her first night. Unlike all of the other figures, the eye was placed away, near the left wall of the room.

(Y/n) bent down and picked up the eye, looking closely at it. She opened up the folded newspaper eye carefully, revealing a news article about Gendrick's advance in a battle. Paying no mind to the article, (Y/n) looked to the bottom, which had scrawny and sloppy scratched-in nail marks written on it, probably from a kid. The marks were all over the page, but (Y/n) noticed a set of marks that stood out from the rest. It was circled several times, so the (h/c) girl peered closely at the marks to see what they said.

small, left, top, middle, big, right

(Y/n) looked up from the article, remembering when Oryn left through the secret exit that night. She looked closely at the rocks, noticing that each of them had carvings into them, much like the paper, from a little kid. Each rock had a name: big, small, top right, left, etc.
