The Venom

Snake Trail

        The group was now back together, and they began making their way to the Venom hideout. "So you mean to tell me that you can absorb the energy from other Evolved?" Mary asked. "Through killing them, yes." Tiger replied. "So you'll be killing Reaper and Cobra?" Mary asked. "That's how it has to be, if I'm going to have a chance at killing Dante and Devon." Tiger replied. "How do we play into this? I don't think any of us can help you with the gods." Mary asked. "Leave the gods to me. Reaper and Cobra should be more of your speed." Tiger responded. "That we can work with." Mary replied. 

        The group arrived at the Venom hideout, and Tiger hopped off of his horse, and unsheathed his sword. Tiger kicked open the door, and sprinted inside, killing two Venom assassins in his path. Tiger ran across the catwalk, overhead of the lower floor of the hideout. Tiger silently killed another assassin, and Mary shot another assassin in the neck across the room. Tiger and Hasuto vaulted over the railing, heading to the lower floor. Tiger stabbed an assassin as he landed, and Hasuto killed two other assassins by throwing knives before he landed. Tiger and Hasuto continued on the lower floors, as Madison and Mary kept watch from above. Tiger and Hasuto sprinted through a corridor, killing a group of Venom assassins by surprise. 

      An assassin sprung from a corner, swinging at Tiger. Tiger blocked the attack, before slashing the assassin twice across the chest. Tiger slashed the assassin across the throat, and Hasuto moved past Tiger, throwing a knife into another assassin's neck. Tiger sprinted past Hasuto, rushing at an assassin in front of double doors. Tiger jumped up, and kicked the assassin through the double doors. Tiger rushed into the room, and stopped at the entrance, as Hasuto followed him in. Mary and Madison entered the room from the upper floors. Madison kicked an assassin over the railing, causing him to fall onto the lower floor in front of Tiger. Mary loaded an arrow, as Madison hopped down to the lower floor. 

    The group had Cobra in their sights. "We worked alongside of you Skulls, and this is how you treat my assassins?" Cobra asked. "We are no longer part of the Skulls. Consider us our own brand of heroes." Tiger said. "Heroes? More like traitorous scum." Cobra said. Cobra stood up from his chair, and unsheathed his high frequency blade. Tiger activated his high frequency blade, and took a defensive position. Another group of Venom assassins stepped out of a room from behind Cobra. The assassins unsheathed their swords. "Deal with the others. Tiger is mine." Cobra said. The assassins rushed ahead, attacking Hasuto and Madison. Tiger and Cobra rushed at each other. Tiger and Cobra jumped into the air, clashing swords with each other. They landed, and Tiger blocked several attacks from Cobra, before dodging another. 

     Tiger stepped around Cobra, and swung at Cobra's back. Cobra swiftly stepped out of the way, and kicked Tiger across the face. Tiger fell to the ground, and Cobra stood still. "You believe yourself to be bigger than you are. You need to understand that you are still a mere boy, with no experience under your belt." Cobra said. Tiger stood up, and took his stance. "I have enough motivation to kill you." Tiger said. "A goal in mind. That's good. I like that." Cobra said, before rushing at Tiger. Tiger blocked the attack, and Tiger stumbled back a step. Cobra swung again, and Tiger stepped to the side, swinging at Cobra. Cobra deflected Tiger's swing, and swung at Tiger. Tiger moved his head to the side, and grabbed Cobra's arm. Tiger twisted Cobra's arm, and Cobra flipped Tiger over his back. Tiger landed on his feet, and punched Cobra in the face. Cobra stumbled back, and Tiger slashed Cobra across the chest. 

     Cobra looked at the slash on his armor, and chuckled to himself. "Ha! Your determination is getting you closer to your goal. However, you'll need to do better than that." Cobra said, before stabbing his sword into the ground. Tiger ran at Cobra, and Cobra expertly evaded many of Tiger's attacks, before kicking him in the side, and grabbed Tiger's arm. Tiger shook himself free, and Cobra punched Tiger in the side twice. Tiger keeled over, and Cobra kneed him in the jaw. Tiger fell onto his back, before standing back up. Tiger rushed at Cobra again, and Cobra evaded many of Tiger's attacks. Tiger caught Cobra with a kick to the leg, and Tiger slammed the pommel of his sword into Cobra's face. Tiger made an upward swing, and Cobra stepped back. Tiger swung down, and Cobra clapped his hands around the blade. 

     Cobra turned the blade to the side, and knocked it out of Tiger's hands. Tiger slammed the back of his fist into Cobra's face, and punched him in the stomach. Cobra swung a fist at Tiger, and Tiger dodged under the swing. Tiger kneed Cobra in the stomach, and elbowed him across the face. Tiger retrieved his sword, and slashed Cobra again, and Cobra kicked the side of the blade, and pushed Tiger to the ground. "You're not fast enough. Let's put your life on it." Cobra said, as he pulled his sword from the ground. 

     Cobra rushed at Tiger with impossible speed. Tiger blocked two quick attacks, and was kicked in the stomach. Cobra swung over head, and Tiger rolled out of the way, slashing Cobra's side. Cobra kicked Tiger to the ground, before stabbing at him on the ground. Tiger rolled away, and stood up. Tiger dodged two sword strike, and blocked a kick. Tiger dodged another kick, and slashed Cobra twice, before punching him across the face. "Hurry up." Cobra said, dragging his blade on the ground, before swinging upwards. Tiger stumbled back, and Cobra stepped forwards for another strike. Tiger spun around, and reversed his grip on his sword. Tiger evaded Cobra's attack, and stabbed Cobra in the chest at the same time.

     Cobra's eyes focused on Tiger's face, and he froze in place. "That was a pretty good move." Cobra said. Tiger pulled his sword out, and Cobra stumbled backwards. Cobra fell to the ground, and dropped his sword, before giving a final breath. "If only it didn't have to be this way." Tiger said. Tiger watched as the energy levitated from Cobra's corpse, and absorbed into Tiger. Tiger felt a power surge, and he turned to the rest of his groups, as they dealt with the last assassin. Madison slashed the assassin across the throat, and kicked him in the chest. The assassin fell over a table, and rolled onto his back. 

     The group joined up with Tiger, as he looked at  Cobra's corpse. Tiger reached down, and took Cobra's sheath. Tiger picked up Cobra's sword, and slid the sword into the sheath. "What will you do with his sword?" Madison asked. "Nothing." Tiger said, resting the sword and sheath beside Cobra's corpse. "I've claimed his energy. I have no need for his sword." Tiger said. "Now we take down Reaper." Tiger said. Tiger led his group out of the room, where they proceeded to leave the hideout. Tiger mounted his horse, and the rest of the group followed Tiger as they headed to the Skulls hideout.
