It wasn't always like this. His mom used to wake up in the mornings and make him pancakes and sing to him, but she's been different. Now all his mom talks about is how he's a demon and how he's trying to kill her. Stiles knows that's not really his mom saying it, but it still hurts. She'd have clear days every once in a while though, and they were the best. Stiles and his mom would just lay down together and she'd pet his hair and cry. Stiles didn't know why she was crying at first but then they told him. They went to the doctors one evening, because his momma was feeling sicker. Frontotemporal dementia they said. Stiles didn't know what that meant but he was smart, he couldn't ask the doctors. Everytime they looked at him he felt like something bad was happening so he went to the library. His dad couldn't take him, he was at work a lot more lately but he was 10 now he could walk. He read all the books he could trying to learn what it was; when he finally did though, he just sat down in a corner and cried. After a couple of hours he got up and went home. His mom was having another bad day. She was calling him names again but it was okay really, he was a big boy his momma was sick, he could handle it. Until he couldn't.
