Bright morning peeked in through the windows of the small guest bedroom, illuminating it in a soft, golden light. As it traversed its way indoors, it illuminated the small specks of dust scattered around in the air, causing them to finally be visible to all. In the room was a sleeping countryhuman, bundled in a blanket his friend had wrapped him in the night before.
As it turns out, the light did not seem to like this sleeping person because they attacked his closed eyes with their bright rays, causing him to groggily wake up and blink open his eyes. Almost immediately, the country let out a small whine, pulling his cocoon blanket over his eyes to avoid those dastardly rays. The morning was groggily and slow, and America didn't want to get up today. Normally, he'd be up in a flash, but he didn't want to get up right now. Maybe it was the comfort of the bed, or maybe...
Right. He had stayed up, playing video games until... America wasn't sure when he fell asleep, just that he had. Vietnam must've moved him up to a guest bedroom or something. Deciding that was enough thinking for now, America snuggled into the blanket, letting his mind go comfortingly blank.
Not before long, however, the peaceful stillness of the groggy morning was interrupted by the sound of a door opening and America's blanket being pulled off of him. America yelped at the sudden cold that attacked his nerves. Not to mention, someone had ripped his blanket off! That's so cruel! However, America refused to yield to the cruel lack of a blanket, curling up into a ball for warmth and screwing his eyes tightly shut.
A chuckle interrupted the silence, "C'mon, you sleepyhead, we gotta go sooner or later."
America simply curled up into a ball even more. Nope. No waking up today for him. He was comfy and he was cold and he wanted his blanket back. His blanket...
America opened one eye and immediately hissed at the brightness of the room.
"So now the sleepy one responds," A voice that America groggily recognized as Russia's joked.
America let out a small whine and curled further into his ball. He didn't want to get up. Not today, nopity nope, nope, nope. But before America could process what was happening to him, he was lifted up and hauled onto someone's- probably Russia's- shoulder. America whined, "Noooo."
Russia chuckled, "Yesssssss," With that being said, Russia started walking downstairs, carrying America down with him. When he reached downstairs, he dropped America on the couch.
The force of being dropped onto the couch seemed to fully wake up America, who, once again, didn't want to leave the newfound comfort of the couch. Russia sighed, heading towards the kitchen, where Vietnam was looking for ingredients for breakfast.
Eventually, Vietnam found what he was looking for and started cooking, Russia watching him. The aroma of food cooking also managed to give America the strength to crawl off of the couch and into the kitchen, where he ended up busying himself by attempting to steal Russia's ushanka so he could wear it himself. When Russia asked America why he was trying to steal his ushanka, America simply pouted and said that it looked warm and comfy and that Russia owed it to him for "stealing his blanket like a meanie."
Not before long, Vietnam finished cooking and China had come downstairs. By this point, America had also successfully stolen Russia's ushanka and was happily wearing it. They all ate breakfast together and, when they were done, Russia started packing up his and America's stuff while America ran upstairs to change clothes.
When America and Russia were ready to go, everyone gathered around the front of the house and said their goodbyes. Having said his own goodbyes, America waved and started walking down towards the sidewalk while Vietnam waved happily and headed back inside. Before Russia could follow America, however, China caught him by the arm, a worried look on his face. Confused, Russia paused. China looked at America for a split second before looking back at Russia, his face hardening, "Don't... Don't trust America fully. He's hiding something... something big."
