Welcome back everyone I know I know, trust me I know how much of a failure I am, but I honestly thought of discontinuing this story because I kinda forgot where it was going to go and this chapter was a tough one to write. Also, I'm curious I have two ways that this story can go and it all revolves around how much you guys like Tavion. I'd like your input. You don't have to comment right away, next chapter is going to have a lot of information on Tavion's backstory so you can comment later. Alright into the story. OH WAIT. PS this story was written afterrrrr Legacy but it's before Unlocked because Keefe and all that jazz would be too complicated to try and jam into this story and I didn't want the main focus of the story to be about Keefe. We got enough of those already(yet I still find myself reading them.) Anyway, I'm babbling, enjoy.
"What are we doing here again Sophie," Keefe asked in a drawled tone as Keefe Tam and I came up to the entrance of Councillor Oralie's house. The pink flowers spread out along the pathway seemed to be brighter today. It might have been that I got a decent 8 hours of sleep last night and my eyesight was actually at 100% today, but I like to think that they just looked especially nice today.
To be completely honest I hadn't been to Oralie's house in a while, my relationship with her had recently hit a rough patch and I hadn't had the invitation or the opportunity to come here again. Keefe hadn't been out for eternity since the whole "grand transformation" fiasco. I also don't think Tam has ever been allowed to be closer than 10 feet away from the entrance gate soooooo ya might be reconsidering my partner choices.
Tam had been stuck in bed for the past two weeks after he had woken up so when I was ranting to him one day about how obnoxious the Black Swan is the conversation about going to Oralie's house came up and he practically begged me to take him too. His excuse to Elwin was that I really needed his help which in all honesty was pretty far from the truth, but I think Elwin knew that and just wanted Tam to stop berating him about leaving. As for why Keefe came... We'll just call him emotional support.
So here we are outside the sparkling house, Tam was still limping despite me telling him at least a dozen times to use the crutches Elwin had told him to use. Then following that up was a dozen responses of Tam saying he was fine. Then a dozen comments from Keefe saying he was an idiot.
"If you used your tiny brain a bit Sencen you would remember what Sophie told us before we jumped off of the cliff," Tam said halfheartedly looking around at what was probably the most glitter and pink he had ever seen in his lifetime.
"My dear Bangs Boy, my precious mind can't focus on trivial facts when my hair is 6 degrees to the left of perfection. If I am to be of any use today I must find a mirror post haste." Keefe said mockingly turning around to flick Tams bangs being carful to avoid the bandages still wrapped around his forehead.
"Ah, so that's why you were ten minutes late today. Honestly, you should have stayed back at Candleshade, I'm sure we could have found more helpful associates."
"How dare you! I am very helpful." Keefe said in mocking astonishment.
"Distracting is more like it."
"CHILDREN FOCUS HERE," I said before Keefe could fire back, pushing my way in between the both of them.
Tam rolled his eyes but otherwise said nothing, while Keefe stuck his tongue out a Tam, then proceeded to mumble about how mean Tam was for insulting his hair.
I rolled my eyes and focused my mind on more important things. The council being the annoying people they were, had assigned me some "post-life-changing war homework." They wanted testimonies from me and my friends, Tam Keefe and I in particular. It was a burden but it wasn't the worst thing I had had to do. While Keefe and Tam got the easy stuff of explaining Neverseen hideout stuff and comparing the two sides together. I got the fun part of explaining the whole Black Swan and experimental pizzaz.
