"Okay, spill." I tried to calm my breathing as I sipped my coffee.
I don't know, maybe coffee would wake me up and tell me that this is just a damn nightmare and that Val and Gab didn't really kiss.
Holy fudgeballs, since when did my life turn out to be some novel?
As soon as Gabby lowered down his sunglasses, I saw the dark circles underneath her eyes and I couldn't help but feel sorry for my best friend.
"All right." She sighed. "Where do I start?"
"How about the reason why someone is having his baby when he's supposedly madly in love with you?" Gabby visibly flinched, clearly not appreciating my words. I mentally cursed myself
Reece's inappropriate behavior was already rubbing on me and I need a mouth filter.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-" She sighed for the hundredth time.
"It's fine, Chloe. I guess, the saying once a player, always a player is really true." She took a breath before speaking again. "Remember when he ignored me for weeks, and like what you said at that time, he was confused about his feelings and apparently, he spent his inner debate at some random girl's bed." I could see tears beginning to fall down Gabby's cheeks.
At that moment, I want nothing but to bury Oliver alive. Damn players and their stupidity and their failure to grow up.
"I'm really sorry, Gabby. God, if I have known that he'd turn up like this, I wouldn't have push you to be with him." I could feel guilt slowly corrupting my peace of mind
"Chloe, don't blame yourself. I fell for him and his deceiving ways. I'm the one to blame for thinking that he could ever change."
"Gabs, he did change in a way, it's just that his stupidity got in the way of his thinking." I said trying but obviously failing to make the situation better.
I hated being out of control and not being able to help the person, much more, when it's my best friend.
"If you don't mind me asking, who's the girl?"
"Luckily, it was just a random girl she met at the bar. If it was some girl from school, I don't think I'll be able to handle it when classes resume." She groaned.
"So anyway, how did you end up locking lips with The Mighty Valentino?"
"Well, that's another fudgeload of a story." She lowered her voice and I could already feel her trying to avoid the subject.
But of course, I won't let her go that easily.
"Gabby, it's 1 in the afternoon, I've got the whole day for this."
Gabby's POVI stared at Oliver's eyes trying to uncover the thing that he's been hiding. He has been silent the whole time we've been together and it isn't like him.
"Seriously, Olliver, what's going on?" His eyes widened, he seemed to be really lost in thought.
"Uhm. I really have to tell you s-something." Okay, this is beginning to freak me out, Oliver has never been this serious.
Maybe, he's going to propose?
Oh fudge, the guy had just found what a serious relationship means, there's no way he'll jump into marriage.
"Baby, what's wrong? You're freaking me out." I chuckled nervously. His eyes softened at my endearment and I thought there was guilt in his eyes but it was gone as soon I blinked.
"Gabby, please, tell me that whatever I'm - no, I need you to promise me that whatever I'm about to say, you won't give up on me, on us." He emphasized the us when he said it and I began to freak out more.
"Oliver, please just tell me. You're really freaking me out. I can't promise you anything because I don't even know how bad it is." I begged.
He took a deep breath as if he was preparing for what he was about to say but I sure as hell wasn't prepared for what he next said, "I got someone pregnant."
"I got someone pregnant."
"I got someone pregnant."
"I got someone pregnant."
