"oh no you can sit here" I sit next to him on the floor.
"So you're new around here right?" I asked
"Umm yeah me and my mom just moved here" he said awkwardly
"C'mon dude talk to me, I'm not gonna bite you" I said laughing
He laughed a little too
"Okay then mysterious girl can I know your name?" He asked
"Oh right! I'm (y/n), and...you're...?" I asked
"Andy" he answered
"Andy nice to meet you!" I exclaimed

We talk for one hour he told me everything about him and I told everything about me then the man from the 408 came to us
"so what are you some kind of 4th floor hallway hobo or something? " he asked
"what? " we say at the same time
"Andy and (y/n) right? (y/n)'s 402 and u just moved into 401?" continues
"yeah. I see u out here like, alot " he said
"oh, uh, no, it's not me I have like 5 twin brothers so we just take shifts. " Andy lied
"are u coming in or what " a woman asked the man
"I'll be right there ma just give me a minute love you " he replied
Andy and I look up from the phone to see a old lady standing in the door frame she sights and closes the door Andy smirks and I smiled and we look back at the phone
"so that's the mom she drags me over for dinner every week " me and Andy look at him
"so, listen, man and lady, if you wanna have some dinner you welcome to join us cause I could really use the back up cause she "he does some weird gestures me and Andy laugh
" Andy? who's this? " a woman asks
" Oh umm I'm (y/n) umm Andy's-"
"-best friend" Andy cut me off
"Best friend" I repeat
"OK. What's going on? Is he in trouble? " Andy's mom asked
"yeah. Lots of trouble we've been getting lots of complaints about some kid out here throwing parties" mrs Barclay looks at us weird then back at the man
"selling drugs and beer " we roll our eyes playfully
"peddling booze... Umm... "he looked at Mrs Barclay
"oh. That was a joke?" she asked
"it was an attempt, I was gonna say 'I'm the fun police ' "he chuckles
"it's not landing " he said lookin down at us we just awkwardly
"wait, who are you? "she asked
"I'm Mike... Detective. Detective Mike"
she chuckled
"so um I'm just gonna go. Yeah I'm just gonna go " we nooded
"all moms are scary by the way "Mike told Andy
"it was nice to meet you Andy's mom "he said as she waves
"nice meeting you detective Mike" she replied
"bye Mike " me and Andy say
"see you later, Andy (y/n) " he said
"tough you were with a group of friends "Mrs Barclay said we just kept looking at the phone
