"Sure ka okay ka lang dun?" Mia my officemate slash cousin slash bff asked me
"Sure na sure bes!" I told her with confidence.
"Sige na, may date pa ko. Text me whenever, whatever, ha?" She said.
"Opo madam, ingat po sa date" I said.
"Siya mag-ingat sakin no!! Alis na ko babush!" She said as he drive off.
I let out a sigh as I look at this apartment-condo type unit.
I grab my things and went inside. I took at the stairs to reach 3rd floor since there is no elevator. Maliit na bagay sa Baguio nga mas mataas pa sa hagdan na to yung inaakyat ko.
I look for unit 303. When I saw it, I knocked thrice because I haven't have the key yet.
I'm a bit nervous because this will be the first time I will meet the owner of this unit who will be my housemate.
I hope she is nice and friendly.
The door opened and a guy appears. I looked at the unit number again and I wasn't sure why does this guy opened the door, when the owner told me she lives alone.
I just stared at him for a second when he said something.
"Hi, ikaw ba si Gabrielle Angeles?" He asked me.
"Yes, how did you know my name?" I asked him.
He smiles as if I said something funny before saying, "Because of the form you sent. Get in."
I followed him inside. I can see that the unit is entirely clean, just like what I saw in the photos.
"Here's the contract, basahin mo na muna. You can return it to me withing this week." He said as he hand me the papers.
I browse each page but not totally understanding it's content yet, syempre kunwari lang, mamaya ko na lang iintindihin within this week naman pasahan.
"And here's the duplicate keys, this is for the main door, ito sa cr, Ito sa terrace, tapos Ito sa kwarto mo. Tara," he said so I followed him.
"Ito yung room mo, kumpleto naman jan TV lang Wala. Pero pwede mo naman gamitin yung sa sala. You can use all the appliances you can see here, lahat naman ng personal stuff ko nasa kwarto ko." He said, as I roam around the bedroom. I checked the bed, the doors and windows, the cabinets, the office table and chair.
While I checked the room I am already thinking of ideas on how to make this room more Gabrielle. I was thinking of changing the curtains, and putting some frames on the wall.
I'm excited to decorate my room my I heard him say,
".... If you need anything nasa kabilang room lang ako. Enjoy your stay here." And started to walk out of my room
"Ikaw? Nasa kabilang room?" I asked him.
He looked confused when he said, "yes, why? Do you want me here instead?" Then he smirked.
Siraulo!
"I mean, diba si Miss Shane yung kausap ko dito? Sabi niya may spare room sya dito sa unit niya. Siya kasi kausap ko regarding my stay her. Oh! Does it mean, you are - Are you Miss Shane?" I asked him.
He laughed so hard. Sobrang lakas as in konti na lang lalabas na yung esophagus niya.
I just kept looking at him until he calmed down. OA tumawa nagtatanong lang ako eh.
"What?!?! Mukha ba kong babae? Ano dati akong babae na nagpakalalaki ganun?! He asked me, still controlling himself from laughing.
"Eh nasaan ba kasi si Miss Shane? Sino ka ba?"
