Serenity's POV.
As the sun began to rise, I arose from slumber, trudged into the bathroom to wash away the remnants of sleep, freshened up with a quick shower, and polished my smile with a good teeth-brushing. Once I was all set for school, I made my way downstairs to find Dad adorned in his police uniform, and Bella happily enjoying her breakfast at the table. With a spark of joy, I exclaimed, "Good morning, my fabulous family!" as I snagged my breakfast and settled in with them. "Good morning, Serenity!" they both chimed in unison.

"Serenity, your car has arrived this morning," Dad announced, handing me the keys to my car while he set his dishes into the sink. "Thanks, Dad!" I beamed at him in response.
"Anytime, Seren," he replied, returning my smile. "I've got to dash now. Best of luck on your first day of school, ladies! I'll catch up with you at the diner later." With that, he pressed a kiss to the tops of our heads and headed off to work.
Once Bella and I had savored our breakfast, we tidied up by washing our plates-both ours and Dad's. With our bags in tow, we slipped out of the house, closing the front door behind us as we made our way to our cars.
