Chapter seven

                       The Letter

Dear Nally
        I know you are reading this letter when am dead . you are my only daughter and my only child, I love you more than anything in this world and I care for you . Nally I know your father won't always be there for you the only thing he cares for now is his business and that's why I  wish I was able to get someone that would take care of you while am away .
I remember while you were growing up you will always ask about your grandparents during Thanksgiving and I would lie to you that they are dead , you always feel sad whenever you see other children playing with their grandparent . Nally the truth is that they are still alive but I lost them when I got pregnant for you I want the best for you and I wish you got to meet them. Your grandparents are very religious people and they were disappointed in me when I became pregnant for you at 16. They chased me out of the house and I was really happy when your father didn't reject me but was ready to take care of the both of us. Your father and I meet in a party then I was still in highschool but he was in college I really loved you father and I still do but your father started changing,he would always come home angry and sometime he would shout at me for little reasons but one thing I was glad for was that he was never drunk and he never beat me up . But nally I know your father still loves you even if he might have done some stupid things , I want you to please forgive him .
They is a number in the bag you picked the letter from those are your parent number I collected from aunty Mira and the house address am not really sure they still live there but I want you to try and look for them and I know if you tell them who you ate they will accept you.
I love you Nally and I will always be there with you everyday of you life .

  I cried as I read the letter, I miss my mum and I will always do, I looked up at the necklace as I cried . I kept on crying until I heard the sound of the door I stood up immediately and hid the bag and the letter under the bag . I knew it was my dad no one in the family knows where we live, as I went down the stairs and looked down and my guess was right.
"Dad what are you doing here" I said which cause him to look up at me.
"Thank God you are at home , anyway I know you won't have any dress to wear so I brought you one". He said showing me the black bag I didn't notice earlier
" why do I need a dress".
"You will be attending the charity fair were you will be meeting  your husband." I looked up at him and didn't even know when I started laughing which left him surprise at my outburst.
"Look you are just deceiving yourself they is no way I am greeting married to that man you picked for me so you can kindly take the dress with you I don't need it. " 
"Have told you already is either you live my house or you marry him and I know you have no place to stay so you have to marry him." he said leaving the dress on the couch he walked away.
If only he knew
