KAIRI EXITS THE HOUSE with Maiya holding his hand, his hair still messy from the piggy tails.

AFTER KAIRI LEFT his father remained in the room, and turned around glaring at me.

"aren't you supposed to be in school?" he asked with a judging look on his face.

"overslept" I respond giving back a half smile.

"it's barely 7 tho, i'm sure you would've made it in time" he scolded again.

"i just didn't wanna go, i think i'm old enough to make my decisions" i confidently say, his intimidating posture didn't scare me anymore. He just scoffed and made his way up the stairs, i could care less to be honest, for now i'll just wait for Kairi.

I take the phone box he gave me and start setting up the new phone, putting in the icloud and things like that. After i finished there were numerous texts and missed calls, looks like Troy tried to talk to me. I swipe over the missed call and pressed the phone against my ear and wait for him to pick up.

"Troy? what happened?"

"oh nothing, it was just weird that you weren't picking up the phone, anyway where are you" he spoke back in a normal voice, it felt weird.

"i'm at Kairi's house, he threw my phone and bought me a new one" i nervously laughed, not wanting him to take it the wrong way.

"..." he stood silent for a second "did he hurt you?"

"noo, no he didn't, it's complicated to explain but i think someone was onto him thats it" i reassure him scratching my neck, he said that he couldn't do anything if Kairi chose to be with me, so why is he even asking that like he could do anything against Kairi? to be honest i think i grew fond of him.

"oh... okay then" he sighed "well i'm glad to know you're okay, see you some other time then" i could feel him smiling on the other side of the phone.

"bye Troy!" i answer back.

The phone hung up and i just started logging back into all my apps while waiting for Kairi to come back.

As i was thinking about him the door opened, he came back with Mattia and Alejandro.

"Hi Y/n!" they both waved and smiled, Alejandro's smile being the brightest obviously.

"i see you set up your phone" Kairi said sitting next to me in the couch and kissing me, and i kissed back (el oh el) "okay i know you're on some hacker shit" he started "and i need you to hack into someone's files" (anonymous got nothing on her)

"oh okay" i answer "but you need a good laptop, if it's a well guarded file its going to be hard, some files might insert viruses into the person's laptop that tries to hack it as an attack method, some of them just erase everything, so you just need a good vpn, also-" i could tell they were spacing out so i just stopped (i was bluffing idfk what i even said) "just give me the laptop and file name" i smiled.

Mattia shook out of his trance and handed me a laptop and Alejandro told me the file serial number. I began typing and suprisingly the file didn't have any kind of protection which is suspicious " i don't know if this is right" i began "it was too easy to hack into- i think its a trap-" and as i said that the laptop began to heat up, it being too hot to hold i threw it onto the floor and it started catching fire. "oh so that is what you meant when you said protection methods" Kairi aknowledged.
