The Beginning of the End

Rika Hanakotoba. A normal schoolgirl who studies hard and does her best for her own future and the others around her. Every day she walks to school the same path. Through the busy streets and straight to the school gate.
That day was a little bit more special then she anticipated...

It was Valentine's day. Rika packed her bento that her mom made in the morning. The girl's mother was very excited to hear her review of the bento after school. She worked really hard on the "Valentine's day bento" as she called it.
-" Thank you , Mom! I'll make sure to provide you with a good review~ " Rika giggled.
Her mom happily waved bye bye to her and the girl headed down the street to the road that leads to Aokigikawa High School.

Roaming through the streets where cars and people are trying to get to work on time. The sounds of car engines and talking people mixed with the scent of gasoline. In this whole morning rush nobody came to notice a short girl with long , dark blue hair holding a mysterious pink package.
The package contained handmade chocolates for her precious friends - Michi and Karen. She was super excited about giving the treats to them since the three girls had been friends for over 10 years.
They all shared an interest in the paranormal. As much as Rika thought that this hobby is quite weird, she put up with them for the sake of their friendship. Michi and Karen enjoyed Ouija board sessions so much that they had a special sleepover night reserved every weekend for those so called rituals. Despite having such peculiar interests, Rika always tried to protect them from danger and help them as much as she can.
Rika loved her friends so much. She could do anything for them. The girl's bond was strong. They also had a special vow. A vow that would make their bond last for ever.

"and that the death wont do us apart..."

That's why she cared about these chocolates so much that she had to hold them in her hands on the way to school.

Rika bumped into a random person that was in a hurry. The chocolates fell out of her hands and landed straight on the busy street. The girl immediately went after the chocolates and raced to the middle of the street. At that time she didn't realize that a car was speeding down the street and was meters away from her.
The treats scattered across the asphalt and Rika tried picking them up as fast as she could. Unfortunately, she wasn't fast enough.
The car hit the girl.
Her vision went black

-" I'm sorry that I couldn't deliver the chocolates..."
