Hey everyone. I wrote this chapter to this fanfiction years ago, and then I lost access to this account. I obviously just gained access to it again, and decided that I'll post this chapter to see if anyone is interested in it or not. Please comment if you'd like me to continue writing.
Ronnie's POV
I walked into Liberty High School with my bag slung lazily over my shoulder, hanging my head low in attempt to not be noticed or bothered by anyone. Ever since Hannah...you know...everyone has been keeping a close eye on me.
God, Hannah... I miss you so much. I thought, walking toward my locker and putting in the combination. I tried to open it, but it didn't, so I tried again. I put in the combination, and still, it wouldn't open.
"UGH!" I groaned, and kicked the lockers.
"Hey." A disembodied voice said from behind me. I felt a hand on my shoulder, so I turned around and saw Jeff smiling weakly at me, seemingly reading my thoughts and understanding my frustration. "Mind if I help you?"
I looked down at my shoes and then nodded once, fixing the strap to my bag on my shoulder. His finger slipped under my chin and he lifted my head up so I could look at him. He locked eyes with me and smiled. "I love you." He reminded me, and kissed my forehead. He then opened my locker on his first try, grabbed my books for my first two classes and motioned for me to pass my bag to him.
"Jeff," I said, reaching for my things, "I could do this myself."
He pulled away from me and shook his head. "Of course you can, but as your boyfriend, I would like to help." He grinned. I rolled my eyes and handed him my bag. "Merci." He said sarcastically.
I leaned my back on the locker that's beside him and watched as he unzipped my bag and put everything inside. He zipped it closed and flung the bag around his shoulder. He looked down at me and licked his lips, reaching out for me to grab his hand.
I laced my fingers into his and started walking with him. Hannah would be right next to me if she were here. I thought. I looked to my left, where Hannah would be...walking beside me as we joked around and laughed. Why did you have to do what you did, Han? Why'd you have to leave me here.
"Ronnie," Jeff called, "hey... Everything okay?" He looked at me, all concerned and cute. I realized we were in front of my first period class. I looked up at him and smiled, this time forced.
"Uhh huh." I nodded. He squinted his eyes at me and stared.
"I don't buy it." Jeff said flatly. He peered around the doorway into my classroom and the bell rang. I noticed the halls were already empty. "Let's ditch. You can tell me what's on your mind."
"Ditch?" I asked, looking at him with wide eyes. "Jeff, we can't do that."
"Babe, it'll be okay." He smiled that beautiful smile at me and I just couldn't say no to him. He brought my hand up to his lips and kissed my knuckles. "C'mon, Eyebrows."
I giggled at the nickname and kissed his pouty lips. "Okay." He smiled victoriously and pulled me back toward my locker and put our things inside, and we walked toward his car holding hands. Like the gentleman and great boyfriend he is, he opened the passenger door for me and closed it once I was inside.
