I was practicing using dust with my sword. I was so focused that I didn't hear Mom enter the training room.
Salem: Y/N, I have a mission for you.
Y/N: What's up Mom?
Salem: I want you to tame a Grimm.
Y/N: I'm sorry what?
Salem: I want you to find a Grimm and tame it.
Y/N: Alright I guess.
I left the castle and walked deep into the forest. After a while of walking I heard a loud roar. I turned and saw a huge Grimm

I didn't recognize what kind of Grimm it was but it was terrifying. It slammed its massive paw down next to me. It snapped its jaws at me but I managed to dodge out of the way. The huge Grimm rushed at me and tried to stab me with a its tail. The Grimm's tail looked similar to a deathstalker tail. The giant Grimm glared at me. I wasn't sure how to tame a Grimm, let alone one as big as this this. The only way I could think of is to intimidate and assert my dominance. I unsheathed my sword and slashed at the Grimm. After a while of fighting both me and the Grimm were exhausted. Eventually I just gave up and tried talking to it.
Y/N: Hey, wanna be friends.l?
Grimm: Talking to a Grimm, that's very brave of you.
Y/N: Wait, you can talk?!
Grimm: Yes I can, I'm quite intelligent.
Y/N: Soooo, about us being friends.
Grimm: You're quite strong, I suppose we could come to an agreement.
Y/N: So, what are you?
Grimm: I'm a manticore.
Y/N: Do you have a name?
Dak: Yes, my name is Dak.
Y/N: Nice to meet you Dak, my name is Y/N.
Dak: Now what do we do?
Y/N: I'm gonna head back.
Dak: Wait...can I come with?
Y/N: You're way to big.
Dak: I can fix that.
Dak suddenly shrunk down to the size of a small dog. I picked him up and carried him back home.
Dak: This is...surprisingly nice.
We finally got back home and I placed Dak on my bed.
Y/N: Mom will be back soon.
I heard my door open. I turned and saw Neo. She walked up to me and started petting my ears.
Neo: I missed petting you.
Y/N: Uhhh, thank you?
Someone burst into my room.
Emerald: I wanna pet him!
Salem: WHAT IS THIS RUCKUS?!
Mom stormed into me room.
Salem: Oh, I see you tamed a Grimm.
Y/N: More or less.
Salem hugged me tightly. She let me go and gave me a sad expression.
Y/N: What's wrong Mom?
Salem: You have to go to Beacon.
Emerald: Why does he have to go?
Salem: Because Mercury has been seriously injured.
Neo: Yay, I get to go to Beacon with my panda boy.
Neo ran over a hugged me. Both Mom and Emerald looked incredibly jealous. Suddenly I was tackled to the ground. Neo, Emerald, and Salem were all laying on top of me.
Y/N: Need...oxygen...can't...breathe...
I was pulled from the pile and hugged tightly.
Cinder: My panda.
Salem, Emerald, and Neo glared at Cinder. I felt really uneasy. I heard a loud noise and everyone but me left the room. Dak then walked in smugly.
Y/N: Thanks dude.
Dak: No problem man.
I laid on my bed and Dak laid next to me. I slowly feel asleep. Tomorrow I was going to Beacon.
*In the morning*
I woke up to alot of commotion. I got dressed and packed some books, extra clothes, and other important things. I found Neo, Emerald, and Cinder looking worried. We all left for Beacon.
*At the bullhead*
I was sitting on the bullhead. Neo was petting my tail, Emerald was stealing from people, and Cinder was having a mental breakdown. I moved between Neo and Cinder, I put my head on Cinder's shoulder. Neo continued petting my tail while Cinder began petting my ears. Cinder seemed to calm down.
