Jae:
"I'm actually so nervous," I said to Connie and Daisy as I stared at myself in the mirror. Today was the day of my gender reveal and I was more than nervous. Daisy and I were in pink dresses that showed off our bumps while Connie wore a blue dress since she thought it was a girl.
"Don't be!" Connie said as she wrapped her arms around me. "You are going to love this baby either way."
"I know, I know," I said as I sighed, grabbing the cute pair of sandals that I picked out for the dress. "I just hope it's a girl. We have so many boys around here."
Daisy laughed as she rubbed her stomach, "If it's a girl, maybe her and my little one can date one day!"
Connie and I squeal as we nodded our heads. Daisy found out she was having a boy about a few months ago, right after we got home from the wedding weekend.
"Everything is set up for you guys down there," Jordan said from the door way with Julie by her side, both of them wearing blue. I smiled and nodded before taking a deep breath.
"Let's do this thing!" I shouted as everyone cheered. We all walked out to the backyard where everything was decorated with blue and pink decorations, thanks to Connie and Jordan who arranged the entire thing.
I instantly smiled when I saw Luis. He was laughing with Gordon and Fulton as they talked about something. I went to go talk to them when I heard my name being called.
"Jae Jae!" I heard the voice of Bunny from behind me. I turned to see my three best friends from my awful hospital experience, all of them wearing pink.
"Bunny!" I shouted as she ran over to me, wrapping her arms around me the best she could considering my stomach was expanding. "I'm so happy to see you guys!"
"Jay!" I nearly tackled him in a hug. "I missed you so much!"
"I missed you too, Jae," He said smiling as we pulled apart, his hands instantly going for my stomach. "I can't believe you are actually pregnant! I'm so excited!"
I laughed at his cute reaction, "I can't believe Tyler is wearing pink."
Tyler rolled his eyes at me but the huge smile on his face gave away that he wasn't actually annoyed. He leaned down to hug me.
"What? I want you to have a girl!" He said as we pulled apart. I laughed as I nodded my head in agreement.
"Boy or girl, this baby is going to be beautiful," Jay said laughing. "Jae is literally beautiful and Luis is so handsome."
I laughed loudly at Jay as he pointed behind me. I turned to see Luis walking towards us, the tight fitted blue shirt showing off his muscles in a way that made me weak in the knees. He came over to me and wrapped his arm around my expanding waist.
"Hey, Luis!" Bonnie said excitedly as she leaned up to give him a hug. He shook hands with Jay and Tyler after hugging Bunny.
"I came over to let you know everything is ready to go," He said as he leaned down and placed a kiss on my cheek. Bunny and I squealed loudly as we clapped our hands together. The five of us rushed over to where Gordon and Josh were standing, both in blue shirts.
Josh handed Luis the hockey stick as Gordon placed the puck on the ground. Our idea was to fill the puck with blue or pink and once he hits it, the pink or blue explosion will come out.
I nervously watched as Luis got ready to hit the puck. Everyone was surrounding us with their phones out, ready to catch the special moment on video or through pictures.
Luis looked over at me and smiled with a wink before he raised his arms and swung at the puck. I watched and waited for the little explosion to happen and when it did...
The air was full of pink.
I didn't know if it was the overwhelming feeling of joy or the pregnancy hormones but I couldn't stop crying. Luis dropped the stick and ran to me, wrapping his arms around me and picking me up into the air.
"We're going to have a little Jae," He said as he put me down on my feet with his arms wrapped around my expanding waist. I laughed through my tears as I watched tears fall from his eyes.
"I'm so excited," I whispered as I leaned up to kiss his lips.
"Me, too," He whispered against my lips.
Our family and friends came rushing towards us to congratulate and hug us.
The moment was absolutely prefect.***
"Newborns are so hard!" I said as I held our new baby girl, Isabella. I was sitting on the couch with her as Daisy fed her three month old son, Aiden, over on the chair across the room.
Daisy sighed deeply as she nodded, "It's rough but it really is worth it."
I smiled down at Isabella fast asleep in my arms, "Yeah, it really is."
The sounds of loud footsteps echoed through the house as Grayson and Luis ran down the stairs and into the living room like there wasn't two babies in the house.
"Luis!" I whispered shouted to him. "I just got Izzy to sleep!"
He looked over at me with a guilty look. He came over and pressed a kiss on my forehead before carefully picking Isabella up. He motioned for me to follow him which I did.
We walked upstairs and into the room we now share together. He walked over to the bassinet beside our bed. As soon as he laid her down, she began fussing and crying quietly. I sighed, thinking that we were in for another screaming fit.
Luis gently shushed her as he held out his finger to her. She grabbed it and instantly stopped crying, eventually falling asleep again.
"She is already such a daddy's girl," I whispered to him as I wrapped my arms around his waist.
He rolled his eyes as he leaned down and pressed a kiss on my forehead, "I can't believe this is our life now."
"Me too," I said as I sighed happily. "I'm really happy it is."
"I love you, Jaelyn Williams."
"I love you, too Luis Mendoza."
