I was drenched in the rain.
Like I was a year ago.
"Alice! "
It was haunting.
She was smiling peacefully. Her face devoid of anything but happiness. She was perfectly still.
Her body laid back against the cold wet balcony floor. The fire exit. Where we used to talk. We used to laugh.
Even when I knew Brit hated her guts I still talked, walked, studied with her.
Even when I wanted to confess to Bran how much I like him, I couldn't.
I wouldn't.
"You came. " Alice spewed in mid shallow breaths.
The relief I felt that she was breathing was replaced by anxiety fits when I saw the crimson red hue mixing with rain water on her right wrist.
I screamed for help.
It was midnight.
Midterms week, so there'd be only few dormers in our floor. Others were studying out, at the lobby or the study area.
It was beyond chaotic.
Help came.
But it was seconds too late.
This was when I remembered one poem, I just forgot the author.
"Deep enough to bleed. Shallow enough to heal. "
I sat still.
I don't want ever to see her again.
I don't want even to remember anything that had happened that night.
But I did.
Every night it haunted me.
It was her eyes.
Kohl eyes.
Brown like Coffees.
***
"Zeb, Palpitate With Me? "
She handed me a beige colored cup.
"Palpitate With You. " I sipped my Coffee.
We bumped our steaming mugs.
At midnight.
In the fire exit.
Me
And
Alice.
But those memories were tainted now. With her lifeless body.

YOU DONT KNOW HOW MUCH YOU MEAN TO ANYONE. YOU JUST DON'T KNOW.
think of sunrise and sunsets, those simple things, drift your thoughts away from silhouettes of suicide.
