Recap:
She took a deep breath before saying, "I must admit my dear, you are divine. It's a shame you have to die. I would love to mate with you, I could pleasure you so much more than that weakling you call a mate. mhmm, I could show you what a real male is like. Oh well. Life goes on... well... not for you unfortunately... You little bodyguard can't protect you forever gorgeous. Robby was just the beginning, he won't be the only one to die for you. You're day will come," She looked at her father before saying the last part, "He also said, ' tell that father of yours, Dorchadas is back."
When she finished, the entire room was silent. I thought back on what that bastard had said to her and was livid.
... I could pleasure you so much more than that weakling you call a mate. mhmm, I could show you what a real male is like...
The idea made me nauseous. I felt like I was about to vomit.
"Dorchadas... I knew he'd be back..." Derek said gravely
"Dorchadas... Darkness..." Aria said, looking to her father.
He nodded.

Chapter 20, Liam's POV:
For the rest of the evening I held Aria protectively in my arms. I was afraid to let her go in case something happened to her, I wouldn't be able to live with myself.
Don't think like that.
My head snapped up and I looked at Ari, damn those powers of hers.
I heard that.
Stay outa my head I growled
I'm sorry, but you've been so quiet. I got worried.
Sorry. Was all I could say. I was just thinking about how stupid it was for me to leave you alone like that. If Destiny hadn't shown up I would have lost you today...
Baby, what happened today is completely out of your control. I shouldn't have wandered off. Simple as that. I knew someone was out there somewhere and I went out alone anyway.
"Liam? How does that sound?"
"Huh? What? Sorry I must have zoned out..." I said sheepishly.
"I was asking your opinion on our newest plan for Aria's protection." My mother said.
"And that is...?"
She laughed, "We-"
"We've decided that you're not capable of protecting her, mongrel." Brody cut in.
I snarled,
"Brody! That's enough!" Derek yelled, "You were allowed to accompany your mother and I tonight as a chance to redeem yourself. You're making me see that I made the right choice by revoking your birth right."
Brody snarled before standing up and storming out of the room.
Lilly sighed, "I really hope he'll get over this vendetta with you Liam..."
"As do I ma'am."
She nodded, "Anyway, we've decided that Aria will have two guards at on time. You will be one, and the other will rotate in from our pack and yours. They will change shifts every twelve hours. Liam, you will stay with Aria as you always do, while the other will patrol the area. sort of like, a private border patrol." I nodded, "The shift will change every twelve hours and within those twelve hours, if one of the guards should need a break, then he or she will switch with someone within their pack. The next twelve hours will be handled by the other pack."
Derek looked at his mate, then at Aria and I, "Don't worry. OK? We'll find this bastard before he can harm anyone else. We learned our lesson last time. We won;t let it happen again."
Aria nodded, I just assumed he ment Robbys death. If only I knew just how wrong I was...
