Elaina's POV
Everyone eventually got back to their conversations after all the guys stared and questioned me for not ordering anything when the waitress came. I'm so glad I brought my AirPods because thats the best conversation ender. I could still feel Santiago's eyes on me every now and then as he listens to everyone else arguing about pickles. I feel a light tap on my shoulder stopping me from spacing out any further. I turn to face him as I pull out one of my AirPods."Come with me," He almost whispers in my ear. He offers his hand and I take it. We slide out of the booth without anyone noticing as I follow behind him. He starts walking backwards with a smirk on his face as he pulls me to him causing me to stumble. Wait- what the fuck? YOU DONT EVEN KNOW HIM ELAINA!
"What Santi?" I say letting go of his hand as I cross my arms but he only smirks at me.
"You owe me a hand holding session now," he says with another fake pout. I laugh lightly as I shake my head.
"I barely met you like 5 hours ago DeLano, you're getting too attached." I say teasingly.
"Wow. It was actually 6 hours and..." He looks at a clock hanging on the wall beside him. " 24 minutes." He smirks at me for a second but then he frowns. "I've been friend-zoned. That one really hurt." He says holding his heart dramatically as I laugh.
"So did we just sneak away for you to confess your obsession over me orrrr?" I say looking at him curiously.
"Well I'm glad you asked honey, absolutely anything is better than a conversation about pickles- especially arcade games." I purse my lips as I nod. Well he's not wrong. He offers his hand again and I roll my eyes as I take it. He pulls me forward so I'm standing right next to him.
"So just to be clear, we can agree that pickles are disgusting right?" He says with his eyebrows furrowed.
"If we didn't I would've felt it. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't have agreed to come with you." I say in a matter of factly tone.
"You don't say, Butterfly..." He says with a smile. "Well get ready to be schooled baby cause I'm about to teach you a lesson." He says in a suggestively joking manner.
"Psshhhhh!!" I cover my mouth as I laugh. "That was probably one of the worst wanna be pick up lines I've ever heard." He guides me into the arcade and sits in one of the racing game seats still facing me.
"Oh come on, it was good." He says crossing his arms as he looks at me.
"It really wasn't and you know it Santi." I say shaking my head. "Do you even have quarters to play?" I ask as I raise my eyebrows.
"Well that reminds me, Arlo told me to give the 4 prettiest women in the world a quarter, right? So now I owe you a dollar and don't have any change."
He says with a shrug. I almost die of laughter as I hold my stomach."Why are you laughing, I'm serious." He says trying to hide his smile by pursing his lips.
"You're unbelievable Santi." I say between laughs. "I hope you know CPR because you're taking my breath away." I say laughing even harder and this time he joins me.
"That was smooth baby, I'm gonna have to hand that one to you." He says showcasing his dimples again as he smiles. I manage to stop laughing for a second to catch my breath.
"Be honest Santiago..." I say in a serious tone. His expression changes as he looks at me confused. "Have you been lying to me?" I say keeping eye contact. He looks taken aback as he slowly shakes his head while observing me like I have 5 heads. "So your name is really Santiago?" I ask seriously.
