Part 3

"H-hey I think I know you! Your face looks familiar..." You trailed off being shocked

"Ahh! You're Soobin right?"

He chuckled while scratching his hair in embarrassment.

"How come you're here? And where is your grandmother?" You asked.

"She has a fever and I'm covering up for her at the moment." He said with concern.

You just nod after hearing the news.

"So! What'll it be for today?" He asked and you pointed out the ones that you ordered earlier.

"Make it four, please." You said.

"Ah! Bread lover eh?" Soobin asked while packing your bread in plastic and putting them in a paper bag.

"Yes." You replied "How come I only see grandmother here?" following up your question

"It's because I work at the kitchen. Why? Are you beginning to like my beautiful face?" He replied in a joking manner.

"Nawp! I asked because it explains why you have so much flour on your face... And the fact that you're not aware makes it even funnier!"

You and Soobin laughed as he gave you your bag of bread.

"Here you go! I figured you'd be exhausted from baking and attending customers. And, this is my treat for helping me earlier." You said with a smile and handling out some bread.

Soobin accepts the bread and you went home. A few months have passed and you and Soobin have gotten closer. You discovered that his dorm was also in the same building as yours but on a higher floor. You two have exchanged numbers and hanged out at the bakery after school every Wednesday. He tutored you math even if he really hates that subject and he was always there whenever you His compassionate heart and his caring aura have been piercing your heart recently. You like him but you keep denying that you don't. For some reason, you try to hold your true feelings for him because you fear that you may never be friends the same way ever again.

As for Soobin, he has gotten much closer with you since the day you made a nice gesture to him when you first saw him working at the bakery. He couldn't forget your kindness and starts to treat you more than just a friend. You're both sitting on the same bench on top of the building where you both live.

"Say ahhhh~" Soobin said as he quickly shoved a piece of bread in your mouth.

"YaAaaaaaaAAAAAaaaaaahhhHHhhhh!" you barely screamed because it was piping hot. You blew it down while laughing together with Soobin

"Hey don't 'yah' me! I'm older than you, you know." Soobin said as he gave you an cold almond milk drink to cool you down.

"How's it? I made it myself" He grinned as he scoots closer to you.

"It's very good! the butter-y flavor kicks in and pops my whole being!" You replied and Soobin laughed at your comment.

Soobin watches the afternoon sky and gives a sigh of relief. You stare at his eyes as you admire every bit of this person's whole being.

How can he be so perfe-

You cut your thoughts as he turned to your gaze. Your heart beats faster as you consciously know that you're 20 cm apart and alone with him.

"Hey y/n,..." He trails off, collecting his thoughts. You take another sip of the drink to calm your heart down.

"I've been meaning to tell you this...I know that we've been friends for a long time now and we seem to have great chemistry even we're bad at math..."

Silence takes over as the both of you couldn't look at each other from embarrassment.

"Could you...No, will you be my girlfriend?...You don't have to answer right away and I promise that if you don't agree I won't act weird and-" Soobin cuts off

You hugged him tightly as possible from the embarrassment you felt as you blushed.

"Yes..." You muttered softly.

You both looked at Soobin's eyes and saw sparkles of joy. You hugged each other, laughed off the mutual feeling of embarrassment, and continued eating the last pieces of bread.

"Let's meet at the bakery tomorrow after class" Soobin said.

"Huh? Why?" You asked.

"Because I'm going on a date with my girlfriend." Soobin winks at you as he cuddles you more.

The fiery sun sets again but this time you're together, in love, with Soobin.
