The ball was approaching fast and all the kingdoms were in a rush to get their clothes ready, because Aestria has never held such a big event before. Even young maids were aloud to go. In the kingdom of Aestria things were far from finished , the Queen used every moment she could to help do something, Miana with a dress fitting, with posture or with speech practice.
Miana hated every second of it, because she felt like a outsider in her own home. She felt like she missed out on her entire childhood in the kingdom. She feels like she could have learned all these things a long time ago with her older sister. She could have had an amazing childhood, but no she was stuck with people who had kidnapped her, yelled and mistreated at her.
Every time she thought of it she wanted to leave the room or the lesson and go for a stroll in the garden. Quin was furious because at this. She wanted all the attention on her because it was almost her coronation and dress had to be the best, but her mother didn't help her she only helped Miana. When Quin thought of a plan she decided to go think in the garden.
Once she got outside she saw Miana and Miana saw her. "Hi Quin, what are you doing outside?" asked Miana. "Aren't You suppose to be at a dress fitting?" Quin asked rudely. "No,mum said that I can take a break from it and go again tomorrow." she said. "Why? Don't you like it here?" asked Quin. "No, no I do, it just really works on my nerves." Miana said. "Pfft your nerves? You get all the attention and all the help, but what do I get nothing absolutely nothing! Me of all people should be getting the most help and attention, but no. It's almost my coronation! I have to do and plan everything myself at this moment. So do not talk about one dress fitting working on your damn nerves!!!" Quin shouted furiously at Miana and the out of rage she pushed Miana right into a rosebush behind her.
There were many thorns in that bush and Quin knew this, so she ran to find help. She found a guard. It took one whole hour to get her out from that bush and finally when she got out her whole dress was torn and she had scars and bruises all over. Quin felt really guilty about what she had done. "How did you do this dear?" The Queen asked Miana. Quin looked at her with a worried look. "I was walking when I tripped over a rock and fell , luckily Quin came and saw me and she went to fetch help" Miana said looking at Quin.
When Quin got the chance, after dinner she went to Miana to apologise. She knocked on the door. When Miana opened it and saw Quin, Quin gave her a tight hug and whispered to her that she was sorry. Miana just said that it is alright, because she knew that her sister was just stressed about everything.Miana alloed Quin into her room and they sat on the edge of her bed. "So who might you be taking to the ball?" Quin asked smiling. "I'm...,I don't know maybe Hale. If he asks me." She said blushing at the thought. "Who might you be going with?" Mianna asked poking Wuin playfully. "Roger." Quin answered with a sigh. Miana looked puzzeled. "Oh, um Roger is a Prince from a far away kingdom."she said sadly. "Why are you sad about it?" Miana asked."Don't worry." Quin said with a smile. Miana just nodded her head in confusion. "Um, I've been meaning to ask you. Dad said that you're going to stop the search for Ashley, when you're Queen. Is that true?" Miana asked. "Yes, that's right, why?" Quin said looking ashamed. "Promise me that you'll carry on with the search, please?" Miana asked.
"No, we can't, I just can't allow that." Quin answered. "If you don't I'll tell everyone that you pushed me today on purpose and that I had lied to protect your reputation." She said. Quin knew that if it came out she would have no future of being a Queen. She just nodded her head. Miana smiled brightly. A day later the whole kingdom knew of Quin's decision and most of them were happy, except for the Duchess of Courage,Zara. She was furious. Her plan to have the youngest princess sold at a ransom was going to fail. She needed both princesses so that she could become Queen and have all the power in the world, but if they found the princess those plans would fail miserably and she would have to endure being the Duchess.
Her name was Zara Amidala and she had been jealous of the Queen since she was young. So she planned to over through both the King and the Queen when she was older, but along the way part of her plan was to become friends with the Queen to get a mighty position like the Duchess and then to win her trust and overthrow her when she least expected it.
