Aislinn stood at her office window looking out over the city street's below. Car's bustling like little worker bee's trying to find honey. She was still angry from the encounter she had earlier with one of her father's long time rivals Cater Nash. A billionaire in his own right. He'd made his fortune by steeling from the weak and giving to himself. That's the way Aislinn saw it anyways. Her great grandfather had become a billionaire the old fashioned way, by blood sweat and tears. Now one of the city's oldest companies in the city of Birch Bay SC is in dire need of new blood. She crossed her arm's underneath her chest and let out a sigh of pure frustration.
She was at a stand still and refused to hand over her father's company to an arse hole like Carter Nash.
A knock on the door snapped Aislinn out of her thoughts. "Yes, It's open Kay." But it wasn't her assistant Kay, it was Damien Hexwood. An ex finance of her's from collageAislinn felt the air being sucked out of her lung's. The room started to spin around and a black cloud settled in her heart. She walked over to her chair and sat down, Aislinn quickly regained her composure
Damien noticed that the color had drained from Aislinn's face. He knew he was walking into a tigers den and he also knew that she wasn't happy seeing himShe arched her brow and laced her voice with ice as she spoke to him.  " Just what in the H E double hockey sticks are you doing here Damien? I thought I had made it perfectly clear to you that I never wanted to see or hear from you ever again, as long as I breathed! " He stood there a moment before answering Aislinn. " I heard that your company is in dire need of help. And I thought I could help you. I know we didn't part on less than great terms but I'm here now. I want to make it up to you fawn." Aislinn could feel the dark cloud disappearing from around her heart. He always had away of melting it. Damn him she thought and damn his devilish smile. Damien was kneeling in front of her, and holding a small blue box. Aislinn knew what he was up to and she didn't like it one damn bit. She held up her hand to stop him from speaking. "Look Damien, I know what you're going to ask me and the answer is Hell No! Not in this life time or the next...not ever! Now leave or I'll be forced to have you escorted out of the building." Damien stood up and placed the box on her desk a long with his business card.  "I understand Aislinn, but you think about it and if you change your mind call me anytime day or night.".
Without another word he left closing the door behind him. The tears she'd been holding back, came flooding out like a broken dam. Aislinn wiped them away when there was no more. Picking up the ring box Aislinn stood and walked numbly back to the window. She saw Damien climbing into a ®Rolls Royce limo, he looked up and seen her standing there. From where he was she looked like a ghost.      Aislinn put on her coat and left office. Her driver Ben drove her home. It was well after two am when she kicked off her ®Jimmy Choo heels.     Helga her maid started a hot milk bubble bath for her. She'd been like a mother to her since she was just a babe. Her own mother didn't spend time with her, Aislinn guessed she just wanted to pretend that she really didn't have a daughter.
She didn't seem to mind it because Helga had always been there for her.    After her bath Aislinn dressed in her short blue silk gown and went to bed.
She didn't wake until that afternoon, it being Sunday and allHelga brought her, her usual breakfast in bed and the paper. Aislinn didn't have much of an appetite, because of what had happened yesterday with Damien Hexwood. Growling in frustration Aislinn got up and dressed in a simple three piece suit and heels. Her hair pulled back in a french twist.
