Donnie x reader

You sat outside of his door, listening to the sounds of glasses clinking, metal being messed with, and the occasional swearing whenever something fell over; when that happened you would usually giggle softly to yourself, you thought it was cute.

You were told to stay outside, as to not get hurt. He didn't want something going off and possibly hurting you. It was sweet, but annoying at the same time, it was also boring sense all you did was sit outside his lab. You couldn't hangout with the others sense they were out doing a mission of some kind, you don't really remember what they said.

The sound of the door caused you to quickly turn your head, there stood donnie covered in a black substance from what you guessed was another failed attempt. It covered his goggles, face, and arms. He pulled up his goggles to see clearly and noticed you on the floor looking back up at him.

"Phff, another failed experiment huh, don?"

"Yeah, yeah. Laugh all you want, but I'm making progress. You can't always get something right the first time."

"How about the 100th time?"

After that response he simply rolled his eyes and went to the kitchen to make coffee. You followed after, you wanted to hang out instead of sitting alone all day. You leaned against his shell to show how bored you were, even though you could have watched TV you both knew the true reason you were there.

"I'll be with you in a bit, I just have to wash this off and make my coffee. Why don't you wait in the main room for now."

You groaned, but went to the other room anyways. You groaned until you reached the Tv, you could hear Don laughing to himself from the other room. You turned on the Television and watched whatever was on at the time, you didn't care as long as it was entertaining enough. As you waited you could hear footsteps go from on room to another and eventually towards you before stopping. Thanks to the turtles, even when your attention is set on something you can still figure out when someone is near you.

"I know you're there, Don. Just sit next to me you creep." You said, a smile appearing on your face.

"Thought I had you for sure, I made sure to be careful."

"Never underestimate the power of my hearing, you become more alert when almost killed by 4 green, bandana wearing, mutants. You out off all people should know that."

"Touchè."

You got closer to him and leaned your head against his arm, in return he put his arm around you and brought you even closer. You two have been together for a month now, so far you don't think donnie's brothers know anything about you two; Don forgot to tell them. You didn't mind, even if they did know you doubt anything would be different as a result; other than his brothers possible having more material to tease/ make fun of him with.
Don picked up the Remote and changed it to a movie, it was a thriller movie. Good thing you weren't interested in the plot of the show you were just watching.

As the movie went on you started to feel a warm sensation on your cheek, you looked beside you only to see donnie with a darker hue of green on his.

"S-sorry" he quickly turned his attention to the movie, the blush on his face getting darker.

You smiled a bit, even though you two are together he still somehow gets nervous about things. You placed your hands on his face and made him look towards you, you placed a quick kiss on his lips before letting him go and turning your attention to the movie like nothing happened.

"Nerd," you said, with a smile on your face. "You always seem to freeze up when you try and make a move"

"I do not!"

"Fine, then name one time you've made a move successfully with me having to help you out."

He stopped for a momet and thought about it, while he thought you continued watching the movie. You thought this conversation was over seeing how he isn't one to really make the first move in the relationship.

"I made the first move successfully when I asked you out."

Right, after 3 weeks, after the whole getting kidnapped by mutants and then getting saved by different mutants thing he had asked you out. The only reason you said yes at the time was, because he saved your life... and because something about nerds makes your heart race. Still, it counts. He didn't get help, he wasn't told to stop bring socially awkward and just go through with it. Nope, he did it on his own.
Wasn't gonna stop you from poking fun.

"Oh right, the day I heard more voice cracks than I did at school when someone was doing a presentation."

"Oh shush."

You laugh to yourself a bit, before putting on a simple smile. Even though you joke a lot you both know it's out of love, and possibly just to get a reaction.
You pulled your knees to your chest and tried getting as close to him as possible, you placed your head on his chest, the sound of his heart beat calming you. Losing track of time, you let your body fully relax and lay still in his arms.

Even though you met each other at a terrible time, you're glad it happened otherwise you wouldn't have met him.
