<Joseph's POV>
"Ah...you have chosen to spare the embalmer...have you,Mr. Desaulniers? And here I was...thinking I could have given you the prize...but I guess I was wrong...""W-WHO ARE YOU?! LET ME OUT!" I yelled,desperation creeping into my voice. It's so dark...Prize...prize....wait NO. THERE IS NO PRIZE,THIS IS A GAME THAT WILL CONTINUE FOREVER,DONT BE FOOLED JOSEPH. Jeez...I can't believe I'm talking to myself again..I thought I got rid of that habit. I took a deep breath. "Let. Me. Out." I said,calmly. Oh ho ho ho...not just yet. My eyes finally could be opened,the light forcing me to squint. My eyes widened...
Joseph's yells could be heard,going on for what seemed like an eternity.
<Third person's POV>
Aesop waved hello to Joseph,a smile underneath his mask starting to form. Aesop sat down,his legs crossed. But shortly afterwards seeing Joseph lying down,watching the sunset,he followed suit. "So what do you like,Mr Embalmer? Joseph asked,starting the conversation. "...solitude....I like being alone most of the time..." Aesop uttered. "That's pretty cool." Joseph voiced out. The young embalmer looked at the photographer with confusion and surprise in his eyes. "Really..? You don't think it's weird..? People always think it's weird..." He questioned. "Nope." "Why..?" Aesop mumbled. "Well,there are as many people as the stars in the sky...and some of those people like solitude,so what?" he responded whilst looking up at the night sky and pointing at one of the stars. "Still..not even people who prefer their solitude want to be lonely or feel alone in this world." He continued. "Their just looking to recharge,and that comes from experiencing genuine kindness and having your hearts touched by others. People who want to be alone are just tired of the world...that's what I hope to achieve through my paintings..."Joseph lamented,a kind of sadness clouding his eyes for the briefest moment. "You speak as if you have an intimate understanding of the people who like solitude. Who 'are tired of this world'. Your usually so outgoing. You probably had a perfect family or something. Didn't expect you to understand." Aesop blurted out,before realizing how inconsiderate it was to assume someone's past. "I...I'm so sorry..." Aesop apologized quickly after. "No,it's okay. But,truth to be told,I didn't have a perfect family."<Aesop's POV>
For a short,yet precious moment,Joseph's eyes get a faraway look in them. While he still smiling,there's something sorrowful,almost pitiful about that grin. I also saw the bandages on his arms,and was curious and wanted to help him,but he shifted away uncomfortably,so I got the memo. I lower my gaze,letting the comfort of silence wash over me. And when I raise it again,I lock eyes with Joseph,who has been staring at me. The comfort the silence has been stoking in me fades,withdrawing like a retreating tide from Joseph's ice cold gaze. Something dark fills my heart,leaving my body feeling as heavy as lead. "I-I have to go...bye." Joseph said. I wave goodbye,hoping his coldness was just some fatigue,but I knew it wasn't that,it was something,worse..<Third person's POV>
Naib knocked on Aesop's door,and got back an annoyed yell. Naib knocked again,knowing it would anger Aesop,but didn't care. Aesop opened the door,an annoyed look on his face. Naib looked down to Aesop's mouth and realized he wasn't wearing a mask. He pointed at Aesop's lips and his own,while exclaiming,"Stitch bros!!" Aesop put his finger onto Naib's mouth,forcing a 'hush' out of the former. "Come on bro,you have a match! Hurry up!" Aesop nodded and closed the door. A while later,he emerged in his normal attire,signaling for Naib to help him to waiting room. While walking to the waiting room,Naib started explaining how he got his stitches and what he did before coming here. Aesop tought it would have been more,traumatizing,to talk about it,but Naib didn't feel that way. I knocked on the door of the waiting room and entered. I saw the lawyer and the Thief,both snarling at each other. Oh,how a great match this would be. I sat down in my chair,and adjusted my clothing. "Prepare." I said. The word "p r e p a r a t i o n c o n f i r m e d" showed up in front of me. I felt a sharp pain in the back of my neck,and I blacked out. I spawned directly in front of a rocket chair,man,what a bad sign. I ran to the nearest cipher,when I failed a calibration. An image on the hunter's silhouette formed in my mind. It was a tall male,who had claws for hands,and he was coming directly for me. I put down my coffin quickly and hid behind a pallet.
