AUTHOR NOTE!!! This is based off the anime series boku no hero academia, I only own my oc Jinko and the art I use. Himari belongs to my sister and the rest of the characters are from the series itself. However I do twist the story around to a degree.

ONTO THE STORY!!

Jinko's POV

'I don't wanna wake up...' I lay in bed and think for a few more minutes before forcing myself out and up. Stretching my wings and rest of my body as I walk to the window to see the weather, and as usual it's a little cloudy but sunny for the most part. I walk over to my desk chair, grabbing my uniform, and start to get ready. After putting everything on and getting my bag ready I grab my headphones and phone off my bed. Checking the time i realize something,"SHIT IM GONNA BE LATE AGAIN!!" I race down the stairs to see no one awake besides my cat, Toothless. I kiss him on the head and run out the door to my only friend house, thankfully they only lived down a few blocks towards school.

No ones POV

Jinko got to the front door and unlocked the door, since shes been here so many times she now had a spare key. "HIMIIIIIII WAKE UP SCHOOL STARTS IN HALF AN HOUR!!" Jinko yelled up the stairs to her best friend, who she consider her sister at this point. She waited a few seconds for a response and got nothing. Her feathers puffed up in annoyance and she jumped up the stairs to the sleep deprived child. "HIMI I KNOW I'M LOUD ENOUGH TO KNOW YOU HEARD ME" Jinko yelled again as she entered the child's room. All she got in response was a pillow to the face and a groan. "I love you feathers but you're too damn loud in the morning" Himari said with annoyance in their voice, sitting up to see the winged girl they have as a sister. "Why must you always wake me up this way..?" Jinko stood up and walked over to the tired person closet to get their school uniform. She turned around to look at them and smiled, "Because I know that's a way to get you up and to stay awake." she sighed as she threw the uniform at the tired child and went to the door. She flapped her wings a little and walked back downstairs as she waited for the sleepy child to get ready.

Himari curled an eyebrow but nodded nonetheless as the two walked, scarf draped over their shoulders and book bags slung over each shoulder. Turning around, Himari glanced nervously at the kid before flipping him off, eyes holding a fire yet still not using their quirk. Jinko smiled reassuringly and dragged Himari forward towards the park as the two stumbled slightly.

The feathered girl ran out of the school building and groaned as she stretched her wings out in relief. "I can't believe they made everyone do a physical today...why on a Monday?" She turned around to look at her tired sister as they spoke.

"I don't know, all I know is my head and eyes are hurting a lot more than normal..." Himari rubbed their temples as they caught up with Jinko, laughing a bit as she wrapped up their scarf and shoved it in Jinko's backpack. As they both walked off school grounds, Jinko wasn't paying attention and ran into a taller figure. She fell to the ground with a thud and looked up at the person.

"Oh shit, I'm really sorry did I hurt you at all?" The person turned around and looked down at her as they spoke out with a scruff tone.

"Watch where you're going, extras! Next time you run into me it'll be the last!" The kid growled as he glared daggers down at Jinko. She looked up to see another middle school kid. His uniform looked to be from a different school and was taller than her, around the same height as Himari.

"Okay, listen here dude. I didn't mean to run into you and I apologized, you don't get so pissed off and defensive." Jinko replied as she got up, dusting herself off and blushing as she looked up at the boy.

He walked over to the small feathered girl and growled, "If you look where you were going then we wouldn't have this problem right now!" Small pops came from his hand as Jinko looked up at him, her face showing how unamused she was with his attitude.

"Are we done here? I need to walk me and my sister home and get a head start on my school work if I ever want to get into UA'' She brushes past him, shoulders bumping as she walked towards Himari, her face red with a blush as she grabbed their arm and walked. "C'mon, let's go home, I'm tired and need to get work done." She walked as fast as she could with Himari next to her.

"You okay Jinks? Do I need to get a teac-"

"NO!! I-It's fine, that was all on me, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. Let's just go to the park, alright?" She whisper yelled

"Feathers? Can we go somewhere other than the park today?" Himari softly questioned, eyes glossed over though not obvious.

"Oh, of course, we can. Wherever you wanna go I'll come with you!" Jinko rubbed the back of her neck and laughed softly.

"Why don't we just go somewhere more calm and less noisy? Like a garden or something like that?" Himari says, face half-hidden in the scarf around their neck.

"That sounds fun! What about a flower garden then? You've been getting into the meanings of them lately, so this would be a nice treat right?" Jinko looked up and smiled as she waited for a response.

Himari nodded, a soft smile evident in their eyes as they looked over at Jinko. "Yeah, my dad's quirk got me into them."

She smiled and let go of Himari before pulling her wallet out of her uniform. "I think I have enough money to cover us for the garden, you cool with getting snacks at the corner store afterwards?"

Himari's answer in turn was a soft hum of 'mhmm' as the two walked, Himari checking their wallet to be positive.

"Alright sweet, let's get a move on then before it gets too dark to see anything"

Himari nodded quickly, walking beside Jinko as the two headed towards the gardens, emerald and turquoise eyes taking in the scenery as they walked.

"Hey Himi, what does this flower represent?" She points at the white carnations with a mesmerized look in her eyes.

"Oh, uh, purity and good luck..," Himari trailed off, voice quiet to begin with, insecure of their knowledge though it's correct.

She nodded at them before looking back at them, blushing a bit at them and smiling. "They're really pretty.."

"Yeah. White flowers are usually really pretty..."

Jinko nodded before grabbing Himari's hand and continued to ask questions about the flowers that caught her eyes before getting a call from her brother. She lets go and steps away to talk.

Himari steps out of the way of people, eyes trained on Jinko to make sure that she doesn't get swept away in the crowds of Musutafu streets, as Himari made sure to not get swept away as well. They quickly glanced at their phone, a text from their mom on their screen though they didn't bother to respond after reading it.

Jinko hung up with an annoyed sigh and walks back over to Himari. "Hey I'm really sorry, my brother called and sounded worried, do you wanna have a sleepover though? I don't think that he would mind all that much considering that he doesn't really stay around much.."

Himari hesitated for a moment though they nodded moments later. "Yeah. That should work. I'll send Mei a text in a bit. Are you sure I'm not intruding though?"

"I'm sure that Keigo wouldn't mind if I have you over for the night." She smiled up at them.

"Fair enough then, could we swing by the group home so I can pack a bag at least?" Himari asked, voice soft though laced with doubt.

"Of course!" She smiles at Himari and puts her phone away before walking to their house.
