Charlie and Christine were driving out of town to get her stuff from her old house.

"You sure you know where you're going?" She asked.

"Yep, I remember where your mother lives...or lived. What did she die of?"

"Cancer of the breast."

"Oh, I always wondered if it was possible for men to get breast cancer."

"Yep, I heard men being diagnosed. You find a cancerous tumor, you could easily get it removed to keep it from spreading."

"How do you know these things."

"I read it in health class a couple years ago, I have a photographic memory. I read it, I remember it."

"When I was your age, I hated school but I got good grades. My memory isn't photographic."

"Is it true that you drink?"

"...Yeah, heavy but I'm not an alcoholic like your Uncle Alan puts it. Do you feel uncomfortable being aroud people when they drink?"

"No, as long as they mean me no harm."

"I mean you no harm...zero, zilch, ok?"

"Ok."

They were in the driveway of the house.

"I'll be right back."

Christine got out of the car and walked in the house. Charlie started tapping his fingers on the steering wheel, then stopped.

"I should've used protection!"

She walked out with a duffel bag and a guitar case.

"You play guitar?"

"Yep."

She put the case in the backseat.

"Could you pop the trunk?"

"Yeah sure."

He popped the trunk.

"Is that all the stuff?"

"Nope, a few more, plus we need to hire a mover truck to move my bed and dresser."

"You got it. There's a spare room down the hall from mine, you can have it, I don't do anything with it."

"I can't belive you're actually letting me stay with you, you had no idea about me until today."

"I got no other choice do I, no offense, it says in your mother's will for me and Alan to take care of you."

"Don't worry, it's only for a couple years, I'll be gone when I'm 18."

"You don't have to think like that Christine, you can stay as long as you want to, Alan is because Judith divorced him. I'll do the same for you, because you're my daughter, you're family. So, get whatever you need and let's go."

They smiled as she ran in the house to get the rest of her stuff.

Soon, it was evening time, the movers left the house from helping her with her bed and dresser not too long ago, she had everything put up, clothes, posters, etc. Alan was curious to check out her room. He knocked.

"Come in."

He walked in and was amazed.
