One boy enters a world of danger to find his father

Part one

It's been 200 years since what the old ones say Was the apocalypse but who knows maybe it's always been like this.
The humans now live as a Community about 2000 strong, but not really that strong since they have to ration the food.
Most of the time they only go out to go find food, and the reason that they only go out for food is because of the
stalklers they are nasty creatures.

Chapter 1

I wake up at the crack of dawn to tend to the animals in our makeshift Barn.
We live at the very edge of the community.
My dad goes out every fourth day and comes back on the fifth day.
Very late when you can see the stars.
It's very frightening to wait and for him to come.
Today I have fed the animals swept the house washed the clothes and done all the dishes.
It's almost time for my dad to get home.

He doesn't come I wait some more my mom is worried so she goes to the town hall to go and check.
I wait some more still nothing I see my mom coming back in tears a letter in her hand.

Chapter 2

I open the letter and inside I pull out a little yellow paper it says in compensation for the death of Andrew ace.
I start to tear up but I tell my self to stop crying and to start thinking.
I start to think rationally once again my father was the best scavenger in the whole community.
He was the best in every way he was a master at surviving with the bare minimum an expert Huntsman.

Chapter 3

I secretly prepare all my stuff which is not a lot.

I put it into my backpack and prepare for the adventure that awaits.
I believe my dad is still alive and I'm going to find him whether my mom likes it or not.
I tiptoe out of my room and go outside there's a Knight patrol, as usual, I'll have to be sneaky.
I weave my way through the alleys and small streets finally I reach the great door.
Which leads outside away from the community I open them as quietly as I can.
I slip outside onto the barren landscape.

Chapter 4

"Ahhhhhhhhh" I feel a steely grip on my shoulder.
I get spun around and I am face to face with a guard.
I'm in trouble now.

Chapter 5

I get taken to the town hall I am put in front of my mom and THE OLD ONES.
The old ones say in an ancient voice that I have broken three laws.
The first old one says I have gone outside in the night.
The second one says I have gone outside under the age of twenty.
And the third says that I have gone out without permission.
They mutter about what my punishment should be they said that since I am not an adult I cannot be banished but I can Work so now I have to clean the community for two weeks.
My mom comes and hugs me she is still flustered over what she thinks is my dad's death.
And now even more since I tried to escape.
