Zach and Leo were sitting on the couch watching a movie together. Zach didn't realize that he had been at Leo's house for quite a long time, he almost forgot to send a message, informing his parents about his whereabouts which he in fact did a few hours earlier.
The sound of a door unlocking could be heard. Zach turned his head to the sound of the door, suggesting that maybe it was Leo's parents. Leo didn't look away from the movie, not even a glance at the two who have entered the home. The mother was the first to speak.
"Hi, Sweetie, who's this sitting with you on the couch?"
"His name is Zach and he's my friend, my favorite person in the world." Zach answered without sparing a glance.
His father came into view, but then he walked past, going into the hall where Zach assumed he'd be going to his room.
"Oh, Zach? Your friend from a long time ago?" Leo's mom casts a curious glance at Zach, Zach feeling slightly uncomfortable.
"Um... hello, Mrs. Haden."
"Oh, just call me Jennifer, Jen for short," Jen smiles, "what were you two doing when we were out?"
"We were just hanging out together!" Zach beams.
"Aw, that's lovely! This is the first time Leo has had anyone over, so this is a nice occurance."
Zach takes a glance at Leo, Leo facing the TV, Leo noticing his gaze he then tears his glance away to look back at Zach with a curious look. Zach looking back at Jen, he asks, "So is it okay that I am here?"
This time, Leo answered before Jennifer could, "Zach, wanna play some games at my room?"
Jennifer then replies to the question I had asked, "If your parents are okay with it, then feel free! I wouldn't want two parents barging in the house demanding where their son is." Jen jokes, emitting a laugh from Zach.
"Thank you so much, Jen." Zach thanks with a smile which Jen returns.
"Oh, wait, would you like to stay for dinner as well?" Jen questions.
Zach waited for a moment to think, "Oh, I mean..." Zach instinctively glances at Leo.
Leo responds for him, "Yes, he would love to," catching Zach off guard.
Leo suddenly stands up from the couch, "Now then, Zach, you coming?" Leo questions, Zach standing up from the couch as well.
"Okay." Zach replies simply before they make their way to Leo's room, Zach's mind clouded with questions regarding Leo's behavior towards his parents.
Leo shuts the door and smiles brightly at Zach, taking out a Nintendo Switch, "Wanna play Super Smash Bros?"
Zach casts a curious gaze at the device, "How do I play?" Leo handing Zach one of the controllers.
"Don't worry, I'll teach you all you need to know."
With that, Zach was slowly learning how to play the game and then got really into it, although he lost all of the matches to Leo.
A few more matches in, suddenly, "Yay! My first win!" Zach exclaimed as he had finally defeated the undefeatable.
"Pssh, I let you win that time and I was playing a bad character." Leo says with an egotistical tone.
"Aww... I'll really destroy you this next round then!" Zach said, getting more hyped up.
"Relax, I was just kidding, you really had me there. Also, the character I was playing wasn't bad at all," Leo reassures.
