Hello, love! Welcome to another story of mine.
I wrote this story as a final requirement in our Literature subject. We were given the freedom to choose the language and genre of our work, so I just want to thank our 12th Grade Literature teacher, Ms. Kriztelle Joy Tapia, for giving us the chance to exercise our creative freedom even if it is an academic requirement.
I also would like to thank my Mom for encouraging me to upload this story. To be honest, I thought that it was a mediocre work since it was actually dedicated to my high school crush. I thought I overdid a little bit on the romantic element of this story, so I did not read this for two years until now. My writing style before for a creative piece really shocked me, like I was reading someone else's work. But surprise, surprise! It is really mine.
I did not actually think that I would feel giddy reading a romantic piece I wrote. In short, kinilig ako, mga mars. So, I thought why not share it to the readers who might want to feel the kilig as well?
This story is dedicated to the following:
To Elaine and Karen, who had always been supportive with my 'one-sided crush' in senior high school. Thank you for cheering for me while also keeping my secret.
To Jessica and Kimberly, who are basically my sisters. Since you told me that you wanted to read my piece, I am motivated to revise this story to fulfill your wish.
To 'my Rain', who made me happy during the last few months of my high school life. Your boy-next-door smile and cheesy pick up lines are worth the giggles and racing heartbeats. Even if we did not end up together and my feelings have already declined over time, I am still thankful that you became the inspiration for this story.
And to the one who is reading this, I hope you have already found your Rain. If not, I hope that whenever it rains, you will remember this story and have faith that someone will come in the right time. That just like a downpour, his/her love is unexpected but plentiful. That it is comforting as it showers and has intentions as clear as a raindrop.
Here it is. Feel free to share your thoughts about the story. Happy reading!
