"Miss. Wendsworth, please stand and read your essay to the class." Mrs. Jolien commanded. I usually sat in the back row, but today was presentation day of the month. That meant reading, in front of the class. I never understood why we needed to do this. "Who is she calling?", "Wendsworth? I never heard of that last name." People were whispering, this is bad. Of course they wouldn't know who I am. Even if they did talk to me, I would run and hide. "Excuse me, Miss. Wendsworth?" I slowly looked up from my red sweater and saw my English teachers stern face. "If you don't present, I will have to give you an F on presentation." I slowly shook my head. "I-I-Ill go." Slowly, I grabbed my notebook and shuffled to the front of the class. Oh no. Everyones eyes will be on me. Once I reached the front, my eyes looked up. As quickly as possible, they went straight to the ground. While trembling, I took out my notebook and began to read my essay. "Sc-Sc-Scarlet Letter Rev-v-view. By Kaitlyn W-Wendsworth." Okay Kaitlyn, lets keep going. "S-S-Sc-Scarlets Letter is a book written...written..b-b-by-" "Miss. Wendsworth, if you intend to stamper to get your way out of presenting, you are entirely wrong! Now will you please, speak in a proper manner!" the teacher yelled. I quickly nodded and looked back at my notebook. *RING. B-RRRR-ING RING* Oh thank god! The bell! I shuffled back to my desk with a smile on my face. "You will have to finish presenting next week. Okay have a good weekend everybody!" I slowly packed everything into my backpack. The wind from the door made all my notes fall on the floor. Still. People stepped on them. I sighed. Am I that invisible?
***** The cold autumn wind brushed against my face. Awwwww. Its so nice just to walk home. Or. An apartment. "Did you see that nerd? Trying to check out Brianna? What a dope!" I looked across the street to see some of the neighboring high school all-boys school students. They just walked right past me. Not that big of a shocker. Looking down at my outfit I wondered, "Its not that ugly!" All I was wearing was an overthrow red sweater from GoodWill and some Jeans from Walmart. Plus my sneakers that Ive had since forever. Oh who am I kidding, I'm a mess! "Blah. Kaitlyn, why are you so shy!" I shoved my head into my hands and stomped all the way to the front of my apartment. *BEEP.BEEP.BEEP* I looked startled at my bag. My phone, beeping? It never beeps! Looking suspiciously, I looked behind me to check if it was somebody else's phone. Nobody there. "No..hmm" *BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.* I slowly took it out and flipped it open.

Mai Lin :).I smiled at the text. Mai Lin is the landlords niece. But the actually landlord is always busy traveling, so he gave the place to Mai Lin, as a job! She's in her mid-twenties. Wait. New neighbors? My mouth turned to an 0 shape. I quickly shoved it into my bag and raced home. Once there I noticed the moving trucks. "Whatttt? Is it a boy? Girl? Family?" I talked to myself. I walked in and decided to take the elevator for once. I was about to step a foot in when this boy came along. My age, few inches taller. I put my finger to my chin and started to examine him, (stare). Hmmm....why is a guy like....THIS in our cruddy building? I think I was 'examining' too long, because he soon turned to me and smiled. "Yes cutie?" I went into space for a little while. Was he talking to me? Oh no, my cheeks will turn red! Thank goodness for the elevator! I quickly rushed in and hit floor 4. But he blocked the door with his hand before it closed. Dang it. He casually walked in and didn't hit a button. Is he on the same floor as me? I made my thinking face. "Im sorry, was I too forward before?' he asked. I stopped my thinking face. I starred at the ground again and closed my hands tightly. *Ding!* I love the elevator now! I rushed out and headed for my door. "300, 301." I counted. I searched for my keys and stuck the correct key in. But before I could turn it I turned and saw the guy starring at me. I turned to make sure nobody was behind me. Yep its me. Wait. OH MY GOD. He's starring at me. I quickly looked at the ground. "I-I-Is something wr-wr-wrong...." I muttered. He smiled. Not a dirty smile like boys from nightclubs gave. A sweet, innocent smile. The kind when your eyes light up from the moment you see candy! "I just like seeing people in their natural habitat." My mouth went into an 0....again. Then I quickly closed it and faced my front door. "W-W-Whats that s-s-suppose to mean-n?" I frowned. He chuckled a little. "Nothing is. But I would like to properly introduce myself." He took out his hand and said, "Hi. Im Jaydon Henderson. Im your new neighbor."
