The smell of rain filled her surroundings as the water fell down smoothly on the cool ground. Grey morning fog covered most of the sunlight. These kind of days were her favorite.
Kids skipped around in their vibrant colored rain boots. Umbrellas of different colors shuffled around in the city. Everything was peaceful.
While enjoying the scenery, her eyes landed on a sign taped to a small cafe window. Written in sloppy handwriting, the board said 'Now Hiring!'
Minji took notice of the radiant flowers on the sides of the glass door. As if being attracted like a bee with honey, Minji had the urge to enter.
Her slender fingers wrapped around the cold knob, twisting it slightly to enter. A bell went off throughout the small cafe. The scent of lavender and coffee filled the calm room.
Sitting down in the back, Minji opened her sketchbook, laying down her pencil on the paper as it began to create a picture.
Immersed in her creation, Minji didn't notice the boy by her side until he tapped her shoulder."Excuse me miss. Would you like to order something?"
His melodious voice intrigued Minji. Honey brown hair swept across his forehead; his brown doughy eyes stared right into her own.
"U-Um, no, no thank you," Minji faltered with her words as she tried to take in all of his beauty. Out of all the men she encountered in her existence, none of them had been as perfect as him.
The boy glanced at the sketchbook Minji held onto before speaking again,"Are you sure? We have a various amount of sustenance here."
Minji shook her head, biting her lip before enunciating,"No thank you. I'd like to get a job, though. I saw the sign outside."
The slightly short boy nodded with his mouth ajar,"Oh, ok. Here, let me go get the manager."
Before he gaited away, the boy turned around with a heart melting smile,"By the way, my name is Jimin."
