Soohyuk drove his car out of the parking lot. He stepped on the pedal and started driving at high speed. He loosened his tie roughly as he was fuming with anger about the meeting that took place earlier. He couldn't believe that he was just lost the president position to her step sister.

Flashback

"Long time no see, oppa," Hyeyoon said to Soohyuk with a warm smile. He scoffed a little towards the girl who pretended to be nice with him.

"What are you doing here? Don't you already decided to live in Japan? Why bother coming here?" He shouted, making sure everyone in the room heard him. Hyeyoon smiled a little while taking her seat. She stared back at Soohyuk.

"I'm here because my father, President Jang, told me to replace him. And as his ONLY CHILD, I need to obey him. I'm here to take what's mine," she emphasized the word 'only child' to make Soohyuk got some sense in him.

He scoffed. "You left home three years ago and never came back. What makes you think father wants you to replace him, huh?" His voice was becoming louder.

"I know I didn't deserve to replace him as I never contribute anything to this company. But I assure you, I can perform the responsibility he gives to me as I have experiences in this field," Hyeyoon paused as she felt too overwhelmed. She took a deep breath and continued her speech.

"I do not take this position because I'm greedy. Fulfilling my father's will is my first priority and I will make sure I will carry out my work responsibly. And for that, I'm asking for your support as this what President Jang wants," she pleaded.

"Will? What are you talking about? Father is still alive! Why did he make a will?" Soohyuk questioned the statement made by Hyeyoon.

Mr Yoo stepped in with a file. "Actually President Jang wrote a will a few days after he regained his consciousness in the concern that this company will be under someone he trusted the most. He told his lawyer to give the will to me and make sure Hyeyoon fulfill it until he's fully recovered," he explained while giving everyone a copy of the will.

The boards of directors whispered among themselves. Hyeyoon maintained her calm face while observing them. "But how can we trust a young girl like her to lead us? I understand that your company was a success but Jungshin Group is different from that. We're producing technologies, not fashion," Mr Jee Seokjin spoke up.

Mr Yoo sighed at Mr Jee's stupid comment. He always clueless like always. "For your information Mr Jee, Miss Jang has a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering and also bachelor in Business and Management. She never had knowledge about fashion but she make a success in that field," Mr Yoo answered confidently. Hyeyoon thanked him with a smile. Mr Jee was flustered with his replies and tried to fire another question.

"But still, how can a girl lead us? You can see most of the directors here are men, how can we work under a young girl?" This time he gained supports from other male directors.

"He's right. What will our investors react if they know a young girl lead our company? They will lose faith in us," another man added.

"Moreover our company is about technologies, the field dominated by men. What do a girl with 3 years experience in fashion company knows to operate this company?" Mr Kim Jaewook added.

"In that case we need a man to lead us. Someone who is experienced enough in this company yet has the connection with President Jang. The only candidate is Mr Lee Soohyuk. I strongly support him as our new President," Mr Jee made a final conclusion. Soohyuk smiled at Mr Jee. Glad that he gained support from the directors.

Hyeyoon was shocked with their replies. She couldn't believe there was still gender issue in this era. Mr Yoo moved his mouth to replied Mr Jee but he was interrupted when Hyeyoon suddenly stood up.

"Why can't women be leaders? What age are you living right now to say that woman shouldn't be a leader? Even a great country like Britain is led by a Queen for decades. New Zealand got a woman as their president. Even in history, women helped in the war not only treating wounds but also fought with the enemies. But you still have that kind of ideology that woman cannot lead?" She tries to control her breath as she was holding her anger.

"Yes I know. I have no experience in tech but I believe every business needs the same strategy to rise. Passion is the key in business. The same thing I did with my company. I have zero knowledge, zero experience about it, but my passion is what pushed me to do this," she cleared her dry throat before continuing.

"I'm still young and new so I need your help to guide me. I promise that I will try to meet your expectations. I'll try my best to lead like my father," she said looking at them who were attentively listening to her speech.

"As for Mr Lee Soohyuk nomination, I apologize I have to reject it. My father already decided the new President, so I can't do anything about that," she said humbly.

"What are you talking about? The boards of directors still have the right to choose the president!" Soohyuk said loudly.

"Of course we do. But this is the President's will we're talking about. We need to fulfill it," Mr Kim Jongkook said bluntly. "And I have nothing to oppose. I agree to appoint Miss Jang as the new President," he continued. The others started to agree with him.

"What the-" Soohyuk couldn't believe he lost the chance to become the President. The directors including Mr Jee seemed to be tempted by Hyeyoon's speech just now.

"If that's the case. I, Yoo Jaesuk, Manager of Jungshin Group announced Miss Jang Hyeyoon as the new President of Jungshin Group!" All the directors in the room clapped their hands to show support for the new President. Hyeyoon smiled brightly and exhaled hardly as she survived the meeting. Soohyuk who was fuming with anger roamed out from the room.

"Aaaaishh that greedy bitch! She dared to humiliate me like that? Just you wait, I'll make sure you lose everything you have now!"
