Chapter 22

A month has passed and everything seems like a dream. Eris has officially moved in with Dianna in her home, and both of them have started planning their wedding. Dianna's business was going so well that she and her brother Hector have talked about opening another branch in another city.

As for Eris, Anna's foundation, named "helping hearts" has been doing well since it was established. They were able to get a few sponsors to start a weekly feeding program at a local orphanage, and have started to build an animal shelter. Many other projects are on the way.

One important program within the foundation was called "the genie project" headed by Eris herself. Through this, Eris gets to see who needed her help the most and "grants them three wishes." This way she was able keep her curse at bay and genuinely help those who need them in a fair, realistic way, like providing medical assistance, scholarships and more. No more blackmailing or stealing of any sorts.

"Okay, Hector and Iris are free tomorrow" Dianna announced as she read the message on her phone,

"He's gonna go get Lydia and Lucia, and they'll all come here together"

"And Lauren cleared her schedule, so she and Kim are ready to go" Eris added

All families were informed about their engagement immediately and everyone was thrilled and happy for them. Eris had talked to both of Dianna's families personally to clear up any misunderstandings. Turns out, Dianna had told them that their break up before was a mutual decision so her family had no ill will towards her. Hector was actually glad they got back together as he saw it himself how Dianna was her happiest when she was with Eris. Alicia even "thank the heavens above" for bringing Eris and Dianna back together again.

On the other hand, Dianna had also officially met Lauren and Kim, who Eris considers her family. It was an fun, easy-going dinner. Kim expressed liking Dianna, with a "makes sense that Eris is crazy about you" comment. Lauren was just so happy for both Dianna and Eris.

And so, to make it truly official, Dianna and Eris decided to do a family dinner with all of their families so they could all celebrate the engagement together.

"Okay so the people are ready, but the place isn't yet" Eris looked at Dianna with a smirk, "Do you want to look around the city and check out some restaurants? Maybe get ice cream?"

Dianna smiled, "You had me at ice cream"

The pair then got ready and off they went on their afternoon stroll.

They've eaten in a few restaurants around the city before, expanding their taste buds from Mexican to Korean food, but this time they decided to pick one that they haven't eaten in yet, and isn't too adventurous to avoid any upset stomachs

"Ohhh! That place looks good!" Dianna pointed out, her hand intertwined with Eris as they walked around

"It does look good, looks fancy too" Eris replied, "Wanna check out the menu?"

Dianna happily nodded and the two of them headed to the restaurant. At the entrance, Eris abruptly stopped.

"What is it?" Dianna noticed the sudden change in her demeanor, "Is there something wrong?"

Eris shook her head, "I just remembered I need to call someone. Can you go on ahead and look through their menu? I'll meet you in there in a sec"

Despite the slight worry and curiosity, Dianna agreed and entered the restaurant while Eris remained outside.

When Dianna was gone, Eris walked farther away from the restaurant to a spot where people won't hear a thing.

Eris then spoke, "I know you're here. I felt you. Show yourself"
