Ch. 1

I saw a comic that had this idea and I absolutely knew this should be a story. And it fits perfectly with Nalu! So I hope you guys enjoy!!

Lucy's POV

Walking down the streets of my town, going to my local bookstore. I always come here on Fridays. It has sales on Friday I just can't miss!

I was strutting through the streets until I saw the storefront. It had a display of books and little chairs outside where people would drink their coffee's. It's a quaint place. I entered the store and saw all the books in store. I chose a romance novel of a princess and a hobo that fell in love despite the kingdoms wishes. It's so romantic!

I walked out and passed a little ally way through the middle of this restaurant and a grocery store. I saw a little stray kitty in a box, that read 'take care of me!' With a little paw print next to the lettering. It was a little gray cat with these beautiful onyx eyes. It had a little scarf around it's neck and it had fangs that looked sharper than knives.

It was adorable! it rested it's little head on my hand as soon as I reached out to pet it. It purred and rubbed their little face on my hand. 'I think I'm gonna keep it' I thought. I grabbed it and the box with the kitty inside of it.

??? POV

Finally!! I was getting selected! This must be who I'm supposed to protect. Hmm...

She's beautiful. I gawked at her beautiful blonde hair and her chocolate brown eyes. She had a little black skirt with a slit in it and a leather belt with nice fitted shirt. She had a gold chain hanging from her neck and earrings that looked diamond but I'm not completely sure. I got a little close to her and took in her scent. Strawberries and vanilla... I licked her arm and she turned her head to my direction. She smiled sweetly and pet me on the head. "Hello little kitty. I see you like me, huh?" She asked. I purred at her touch. "I'm guessing that means yes?" She giggled. Man she really is beautiful...

We got to a house, it was one floor but it was really nice. It had little plants dotted around the front door, a porch swing with decorative pillows and a welcome mat that said 'welcome'. We walked through the light wood door and she set me down on a table. I saw a door that led to the patio, and I saw little plants that looked like she was growing them. 'She must be a gardener..' I looked around the house and saw a couch with a TV, a desk with a open book and quill, and a door that might lead to her room.

"Okay little kitty, I'm gonna go out and buy you some food, so wait here and be a good kitty okay?" She said, bending down to my level and petting me. I purred and rubbed myself by her leg. She giggled and gave me a last pet goodbye to go to the store.

Time skip...

I was laying down on the couch, taking a little nap. It was getting pretty late, I wonder where she could have gone.

I decided since she wasn't here yet, I might as well go and take a shower.

Lucy's POV

I was leaving the store, a few bags in my hands. I had forgotten that I needed to run errands, and took some more time buying my necessities. I walked down the quaint streets and saw my house a few blocks away. I finally arrived and opened the door and put down all the groceries.

I heard the shower running in my bedroom and I thought someone had broken in, so I grabbed a kitchen knife and walked to my bedroom. 'Please don't be an intruder...' I hoped in my head.

I hesitated to open the door for a bit, but then I barged in the door and saw some pink hair from the curtains. Then, the person was startled and peeked its head out of the shower. I screamed from the top of my lungs. 'WHY IS THERE A RANDOM STRANGER IN MY SHOWER!!!' I thought, while on the floor staring at him. He quickly closed the curtain and grabbed the towel from the rack. Then he walked out with a towel low on his hips and revealed himself. "Please dont freak out! I didn't mean to scare you!" He said, nervous that I was going to scream again. "HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO BE CALM WHEN THERES A STRANGER IN MY SHOWER!!" I yelled at him, still on the floor trembling. He reached out a hand to help me up but I just backed away from him. I didn't want that stranger near me...

??? POV

Crap! I didn't think she was home! What am I supposed to do now...

"Look. You remember the cat you picked up in the alleyway?" I asked her. "How did you-", "well I'm that same cat!" I exclaimed. She just sat there dumbfounded. "I know you might not believe me but I have proof! Look." A poof Of smoke surrounded me and I slowly started turning into a cat. Then as soon as the smoke was gone I was covered by a towel and struggled to get out. Then the towel was lifted from my head and I met eyes with the beautiful lady. "See?" I told her. She still stood there, processing the whole thing.

Time skip...

"So let me get this straight..." she asked me, "you are a guardian angel sent by a god to protect whoever showed you kindness and brought you into their homes. And you solely survive on affection?" She summarized. "That about explains it!" I exclaimed.

"I don't know how to process this.." she said with a confused look. 'Even now she still looks adorable..' I thought.

"Well all you need to do to keep me alive is love me! Nothing more nothing less." I explained. She eyed me up and down. "How am I supposed to love you when I just met you? Your a cat and a human. I love cats but I don't know about your human form.." she said sadly.

A poof of smoke suddenly surrounded me. "You Can find yourself loving me with a little bit of time.." I said, my face inches away from hers and a madly blushing expression covering her face.

Lucy's POV

'Damnit he's hot...' I thought to myself. I can't love someone I just met, but maybe with time I can start loving him. I mean he told me if I don't give him live he could be seriously ill, but I don't know how much I have to love him to keep him alive...

I looked at his chest and realized... 'oh god he's naked!!!' "OH MY GOD!" I screamed covering my eyes "GO GRAB A SWEATER OR SOMETHING YOU'RE NAKED!" I said pointing to my room, my face redder than a tomato. "Oh crap you're right.." he said startled, he quickly ran into my room and came out a few minutes later with a sweater that was really big on me and some basketball shorts I just happened to have for some reason...

"Okay, how much love do you need to survive?" I asked. "I need you to love me every single day or else I will fall deathly ill. A kiss would do the trick but since you just met me, I guess a hug or two could keep me alive for a while." He explained. I blushed at the kiss part. "K-kiss.." I stuttered. I haven't had my first kiss yet. Ever. I don't know if Im ready for all of this...
