Circus love

Chapter 1 the encounter

The lights inside the tent shined like stars. The bleachers stood empty waiting for the people to come. The acrobats and others bustled about the place trying to get things ready for tonights show. I could smell the  fresh buttered popcorn popping, the candy apples coming fresh out of the carmel, and the grill with hot dogs and hamburgers. But my absolute favorite was the scent of fresh funnel cake with the powdered sugar. I stood in the middle of all this chaos as if I was not bothered by any of it. "ALPHA THESE POLES WON'T MOVE THEM SELVES" that was my twin brother yelling at me. "Sorry Chase I got distracted, I'll get right on that" I yelled back to my impatient twin.

I ran over to the poles "um Clare where do you want these" I called out towards an athletic, slender lady in center of all the chaos. Her long black hair was up in a pony tail and her blue eyes sparkled with energy. She wore a light blue workout top with black leggings. "Over there by the edge Ross will move them to the center of the ring when it's time" Clare called back with a sweet tone.

She has always been sweet to me and my brother she's like a mother. That we never had. Actually now that I think about it everyone in our circus group is like family to me and chase. Wonder what our biological parents would think if they knew us.

I walked out back to all the other tents behind the main one. No ones back here guess everyone is up front getting things ready. "Well I guess I can check the carts to make sure everything is alright" I spoke aloud. I walked over to the carts the were two of them. They were identical they looked like horse drawn carts but only instead of horses, drakes pulled them. They were painted red and silver. One had Alpha painted on it and the other had Chase.

"Well they look okay....-" *breathing*
"-... uh what was that... WHO'S HERE COME OUT NOW OR I WILL FIND YOU" I called out in a alarmed voice. Not even a second after I yelled that a young boy jumped out from behind Chases cart he stood there looking like he was about to cry since I found him. "I'm sorry.. I just wanted to see the twin drakes and I was so excited I came to early" the boy said scared. He looks like he is 7 no maybe 6 he stood there with his head down and fidgeted with his hands.

"Its alright you don't have to be scared my names Alpha what's yours" I spoke softly as I bent down so I could see his face. I brought my knees to my chest and sat there waiting on a response. "Oh I'm Jasper... wait you said your name was Alpha like one of the twin drakes Alpha" Jasper said in a excited voice. I nodded my head and his eyes lit up with joy. I love it when kids do that. Jasper told me all about himself as we walked up to the front entrance where a huge banner was hung with the words fire moon cross it.

"Sorry Alpha for talking so much, why don't you tell me about your self.. my mom should be coming soon" Jasper asked with a curious look in his eyes. "Oh I don't mind listening to you it's fine, I also would love to tell you a little about myself... hmm where to start.. ah I know" I said as I sat down against one of the post holding the banner up and began to tell him about myself he watched my ever move as I talked.

" Well I love preforming in the circus and meeting new people. My name was given to me by my real mom. It was on a bracelet that was around wrist when Daniel found me, he is our ring master. I'm 21 but I look 19, am 5'5 and I'm a drake twin which is apparently extremely rare so yay me. I like sweets and I eat a lot. My favorite color is blue like the ocean." I went on telling him about myself "Alpha come on we have to get ready.. um whose that" Chase came up behind me startling me

"Oh is it really time god I'm sorry Jasper I have to go now think you can wait for your mom on your own" I asked as I stood up next to my brother  "yeah actually I think I can see her now so see you guys in the tent" Jasper said as he waved to a woman walking up "ok then bye Jasper" I said as I started to run towards the back tents to get ready. But looked back as I ran to waved bye to Jasper.

As I turned forward I bumped into someone "oh I'm so sorry" I apologized as I caught up to Chase. He  jokingly smacked me on the back of the head. "Nice job idiot" Chase said as we walk away.

Oliver's point of view-

"oh I'm sorry" the stranger said but before I could say anything he took off to catch up to his buddy. I couldn't get his face out on my head that energetic smile so carefree of the worlds pain. His red hair and fire colored eyes. Especially those eyes I don't know why but his eyes made me mad no furious. I stood there for a moment till I heard the cheers from the big tent so I made my way there.

I walked into the tent as it filled with  cheering and laughter. And what I saw I will never forget.
