Poppy's eyes shot open. She sat up, breathing a bit heavy. She turned and looked at the clock.

2:37 A.M.

"Seriously?"

She looked around to figure out where she was at.

She was in Branch's room.

Branch was sleeping peacefully next to her.

She turned her body around to face Branch. She really didn't want to wake him up but, she needed him more than ever right now.

Poppy lightly rubbed his arm. "Hey, Branch?..." Her voice was a bit shakey.

He shifted slightly in his sleep.

"Why do you have to be so adorable? "

"Branchie?......" She said a little louder.

Branch opened his eyes and looked up at his girlfriend next to her. She had a worried expression on her face.

"Hey Pops, are you okay?" He yawned.

"I don't know..." She shifted closer to Branch.

"What's wrong, baby? You know you can tell me anything, right?" He sat up to meet Poppy's height.

"I know.....I just..." She started thinking about the dream again.

"Goodbye Poppy...."

"I-I had a bad dream, Branch." Her eyes started to swell with tears.

"Awww....Poppy..."Branch opened his arms. Poppy fell right into them.

"No...", Poppy said, "A n-nightmare." She hugged him a bit tighter.

"Hey...that wasn't real, okay? You don't need to think of that anymore."

"I know but....i-it felt so real..." Poppy said. "We...broke up...and.."

"Poppy", Branch stopped her and released the hug. " If you talk about it, you're gonna keep thinking about it. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." Branch wiped some tears away with his thumb.

"But...I-I want to tell you about it. I n-need to get it off my chest." She lay her head on Branch's warm chest.

He put an arm around her. "Ok. You can tell me." He knew there was no point in arguing with her. It would only make it worse.

"Well...we broke up b-because I wasn't giving you all of my love.....I-I was only giving you half o-of it."

Branch's eyes widened a bit. How did this get in her head?
