"Lilian," Mary said sternly to her daughter. Twelve-year old Lilly threw her hands up angrily.
"What? It's true! I am old enough now to understand it all and I think its utter bullshit!" Lily exclaimed.

"Lilian! That's enough young lady, you do not talk to your mother that way!" William shouted at his daughter.

"It doesn't matter though right? She won't be around to be my mother when she is away on her fabulous - shit holiday," Lilian said spitefully as she ran out of the house. Mary grabbed Will's arm to stop him before he went after her.

"I will go talk to her," Mary said patting his arm. She placed a delicate kiss to his cheek. She walked to get her coat, grabbing Lily's jumper as she exited the small house.

Lilly sat curled up with her knees in her arms on the porch, angrily rubbing her eyes on her shirt as she cried. Mary sighed heavily as she squeezed in next to her on the stairs. Lily immediately leaned into her mother's side.

"It's not fair," was all Lily could get out.

"I know baby, it's not," Mary said as she placed her head on Lily's.

"Can you hear me?" A male voice questioned, sounding distant. Lily pulled her head away from her mom.

"Did you hear that?" Lily asked looking into the dark distance.

"Stay with me!" She heard the same voice but louder. Lily jumped up from the porch and walked forward.

"Mum, did you hear that? Mum?" Lily questioned when she didn't hear a reply. She looked back towards the spot she left to see her mother's head pointed down.

"Mum?" Lily asked worriedly, slowly moving towards her.

"I don't understand, how is this even possible? Looking into the time vortex would have killed her alone, but she regenerated. I think." The voice said this time coming from the direction of her mom.

"Mum, please you're scaring me," Lily said cautiously approaching her.

"Mommy?" She asked quietly as she timidly placed her hand on Mary's shoulder. Lilly jumped back as Mary's head shot up, golden lights replacing her eyes.

"What did you do!" Her mother shouted charging towards her.

Lilly was startled awake from her dream. She covered her face trying to calm her self down.

"What the hell was that about?" She said to herself as she fell back against the bed.

She closed her eyes tight trying to fall back into - hopefully - a peaceful sleep. She finally got comfortable and laid still. She stayed like this for a moment before her eyes popped back open alert. She looked out ahead of her, noticing that she had no idea where she was at. She pushed the covers away and jumped up spinning around. She paused for a moment realizing that her perspective was a little higher than usual. She look toward her feet to see that she was in her regular shoes, and not pumps as she suspected. She brushed it off and sprinted towards the door, swinging it open. She ran down a small corridor back to the control room she remembered last being in before she passed out.

"Hello? Bow tie man?" she shouted looking for the man she last remembered talking to before she woke up.

"Look, if you can hear me, I'm just going to leave. My dad must be worried about me. You know with that whole eyeball-apoxy thing." Lilly looked around and walked down the stairs, stopping suddenly as she faced the console.
