"Hey, are you done for today?" Tanong ko kay James na ngumingiti habang nakatingin sa phone niya. I saw how beautiful his smile was. I was hurt by the sudden realization, he never smiled like this in our 6-year relationship.
"Babe, you okay?" Tanong niya sa akin. I smiled and nodded, hiding the pain I am feeling. "Can we eat na? I'm starving." I told him so he can give his attention to me. He smiled then held my hand as we walk to our favorite fast food chain.
"May pupuntahan ka ba bukas?" He asked me out of nowhere. "Hm, we're going to your lola's house diba?" I reminded him. He's always like this, parang wala siya lagi sa sarili kapag kasama ako. He's always attentive with other things, excluding those which involves me.
"Oh! I almost forgot. I'm sorry, okay? I just got pre-occupied sa exams." Puno ng lambing na sabi niya sa akin. Paano naman ako magtatampo kapag ganito na naglalambing siya? I just smiled and continued eating.
Naglalakad kami sa mall nang biglang may tumawag sa kanya. "Hey, James! It's nice to see you here." She said in a girly voice. Ang ganda niya! She has an angelic voice, too! "Hi, you must be Ashley?" sabay lahad ng kamay niya sa akin. "Uh, yes! I'm Ashley, and you are?" "Oh! I'm Sasha Ramirez. Nice to meet you." My eyes widened at the mention of her name. She's the famous model from our school. "Sash, akala ko ba may photo shoot ka sa BGC?" Tanong ni James sa kanya. Pa'no kaya sila nagkakilala? My boyfriend is not so friendly when it comes to other girls naman. "Ah, I just got something from my sister's boutique. Sige ha? See you around." pagpapaalam niya sa amin.
After the meeting with Sasha, he drove me to school because I still have remaining classes.
"Babe, how did you know Sasha?" I asked him while we're walking on our way to my class. "Friend siya ni Austin." Simpleng sabi niya. Austin is his cousin and friend. I kinda feel like he's ignoring the topic. "Oh, okay. Ganda niya, no?" I told him. He just smiled and nodded. With that reaction from him, I just let it go and smiled at him.
"Dito na ako, babe. Will you fetch me later?" tanong ko sa kaniya pagkarating namin sa classroom. "I can't babe e, may pupuntahan kami ni Austin." sabi niya habang nakatingin sa phone niya. "Oh, okay. Sige! Ingat kayo ha? Update me, ha?" I told him with a smile. "Sure! I'm going." He simply told me then turned around.
I felt a little hurt with his action. Something changed and I can't pinpoint it. Well, I'm sure paranoid lang ako. I just shrugged the idea and entered the classroom.
