Surrendering to Submitting
Everyone thinks that surrendering and submitting is something and in a way they are but they are not truly the same they are different.
Surrendering means to surrender something to someone.
And submitting meant to submit to someone. God wants us to surrender our life to them and to submit to his work and will in our life. Some people don't want to submit to God because they don't want someone to rule over them. They have too much pride in their lives.
Today I was talking with my younger brother about this, but he told me that he didn't want to submit to God. If you don't submit to God then why would you live for him?
"Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me.
2 Samuel 22:45 KJV"
You see once we submit to God then we can obey his word.
that also goes with Surrendering once we can obey his will.
"Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people that delight in war.
Psalms 68:30 KJV"
we need to surrender to God and no one can do it for us. Not our parents, our friends, our family or even our pastor but you. Even if they want to surrender for us but they can't and it hurts them so much. We also need to obey God's voice.
"Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Ephesians 5:22 KJV"
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7 KJV"
When we surrender and submit to God our husband, then the devil will flee. But if not then the devil will jump on us like a hungry lion waiting for its prey.
We need to give ourselves dull to God and not halfway only hearted stuff. Some "Christians" give God half their life and heart to God But we can't do that, we can't serve two masters there can only be one in our life and heart. God has to be the only King of our Kingdom. We can't let anyone or anything take the place of the king in our lives, besides God.

If we have no fear of God then we won't surrender, submit or even obey God's will and work in our life. We need a healthy fear of God. When we fear God it is easier to be used by God. Some people mix up fearing God and fearing the Devil. (I will talk about this another time).
"Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
1 Peter 2:13 KJV"
God is the one true King but he put some people in a higher place than us. Yes, we need to submit to them but we don't have to surrender to them. We need to obey what they say but if they want you to stop serving God then that's a different story. If someone tells you, you don't have to submit to God or even surrender to him then they don't need to be in your life. Once we surrender to God then we can submit to him as well.
Now to end this step and move on to the next one let's take some time in prayer. Get down on your knees and place your face to the ground to pray this prayer.
