When cleaning your spiritual room there are three steps.

No one likes to clean me included. But God wants us to be clean inside and out it's hard to stay clean. I know I have tried. But God can keep our spiritual rooms clean all the time. All that we need to do is let him clean them out. I know that there is some stuff that we want to keep like something your grandmother gave you before she passed away. For the longest time, I won't let God clean out one of my rooms and it was the one I hold dear. But after so much time it started to get smelly so I let God in so he can clean it out and I'm telling you it was hard to let go but I had to.
"Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.
Job 14:4 KJV"
You see I tried to clean out that room all by myself. But I gave up on it because it was hard doing it myself. I didn't have the strength for it.
"He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
Psalms 24:4 KJV"
"Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Psalms 51:10 KJV"
We need to have a clean heart and only God can give us a new one and he is the only one that can clean out our old and dirty one.
"Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore?
Psalms 77:8 KJV"
"All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits.
Proverbs 16:2 KJV"
"Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
Isaiah 1:16 KJV"
"Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord .
Isaiah 52:11 KJV"

Step 1:Your mind
Step 2: Your Heart
Step 3: Your spirit
When cleaning your mind think of it as your bedroom, what is the first thing you do when you are cleaning out your bedroom?
Me, I pick up my dirty clothes, then I sweep and mop the floor. After that, I make my bed and sometimes when it's dirty I clean out my closet.
"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6‭-‬7 KJV"
When you clean up your dirty clothes, think of it as your past, every thought, everything that you have wrong and things else. When you pick up your dirty clothes, think of them as your negative thoughts about yourself. Like God, I'm good enough, or I have done so many bad things that I could never be loved or forgiven. Instead of thinking about the negative things, think of all the times God has saved you and thank him for it.
And when you sweep and mop the floor think of it as wiping away all your regrets, doubts, fears, worries and unforgiveness. And then asked God to help you with them.
"But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
James 1:6 KJV"
We can't doubt God's power when we doubt we crash. Doubting that we are not good enough for God's kingdom is doubting God make us and died for us. And then we start to worry and fear. Then it leads to Unforgiveness. We don't want that do we.
" For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7"
God didn't want us to fear anything but him. We need to have the fear of God in our life. Not of dying, not of being alone, and not anything else. He wants us to live for him and him alone. When we are truly living for God we will not fear anything.
"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
1 John 4:18 KJV"
"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1 Peter 5:7 KJV"
We all need to cast our care or worries upon God, he is our strength, and he will always be with us no matter what. God will not leave you or forsake you.
Then when you make the bed think of it as forgiving all the people that have hurt, wrong you or offended you in some way. Forgive and do not use an excuse because once you use an excuse you are not truly sorry and you have not forgiven them.
In the first chapter of this book, you had to forgive yourself then you would be able to forgive others.
Now when that's all done and cleaned up we can move on to the next step in your heart.
Once our mind is cleaning then it should be easy to clean out your heart.
"Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Psalms 51:10 KJV"
We need to Pursue God first before we pursue anything else.
Before we do anything we need to pray and talk to God because if we don't it's so easy to focus on something else, like work, your family or your phones or any other things.
We can't let anyone or anything take the place of God in our lives.
"For where your treasure is, there will be your heart also.
Matthew 6:21 KJV"
"Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Exodus 20:3 KJV"
When we pursue other things that's where our heart is, that is our treasure. God should be a treasure, not this world. If you find yourself putting anything or anybody else first before God then prays.
Because when you pursue God first all of your needs will be met.
When your mind, and heart it clean than cleaning out your spirit will be easier.
When cleaning out your spirit it's like cleaning out your closet. All the attitudes, rebelling and disobeying
"Neither give place to the devil.
Ephesians 4:27 KJV"
When we have a bad attitude then we are given the devil a place in our spirit which is not a good thing. That means no yelling, throwing a fit, truculent or uncooperative behavior; a resentful or antagonistic manner.
These allow the devil into our lives and replace God.
"Put not forth thyself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great men:
Proverbs 25:6 KJV"
When we rebel against God we are turning to witchcraft. God hates witchcraft for they are the servants and followers of the devil.
"So Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day. And it came to pass, when all Israel heard that Jeroboam was come again, that they sent and called him unto the congregation, and made him king over all Israel: there was none that followed the house of David, but the tribe of Judah only.
1 Kings 12:19‭-‬20 KJV"
When we rebel against God bad things tend to happen. So let's not do that.
Disobedience, not a good thing to do either.
"And he that smiteth his father, or his mother shall be surely put to death.
Exodus 21:15 KJV, "
"Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
Colossians 3:20 KJV"
When we obey our parents then we are obeying God.
When reading this verse what are you thinking? That this means our parents that we have now yes and no. It means all of our parents, our grandparents and our great grandparents. Then ones that are in the church and the true church the ones that believe in being baptized in Jesus name, being filled with the Holy Ghost and living a Holy life unto God to be saved.
Yes, you need to still listen to your family even if they are not living a holy life while God tells you differently than to obey them. This is pleasing to the Lord our God.
Now to end this step to move on to the next let take some time to pray. If there is a room that is not clean then ask God to clean it out when he goes to clean it out don't stop him. Just let him through.
