Jeongguk hadn't stopped staring at his phone all day.

Bangtan Dorm wasn't anything on the professional side, just a regular boarding school room with average comfort, rickety wooden beds and three stuffed wardrobes, one bathroom and a tiny kitchenette that was permanently messy.

Bangtan Dorm.

He didn't know why it was called that but the scrumpled up piece of paper with scraggly, scrawny handwriting that was hanging to the door by a loose piece of sellotape that he'd spied when he'd first entered the premises that gloomy Friday morning, gave some sort of indication to him that it was something along the lines of a mini, amateur cult gathering.

A rather pathetic cult of prepubescent, teenage twinks mind you but a cult gathering, nonetheless.

He'd just joined fresh in, the youngest of the lot by far, not quite prepared for what he was about to face apparently.

In fact, he didn't quite know what he was expecting, heart racing with adrenaline the first time he'd knocked on the door.

A room full of year thirteens that barely showered, cursed a lot, humped their pillows at night and snogged eachother till the break of dawn was not quite what he was anticipating.

A short dude opened the door.

Short but feisty apparently.

Jeongguk knew not to mess with him in a heartbeat.

"What do you want I'm trying to sleep."
The mint haired guy deadpanned. Jeongguk didn't quite know why he was trying to sleep, it was nearly twelve pm and he probably should have been in class but he wasn't about to question the boy because he looked like he could beat him up in a millisecond.

"Um- I'm your new roommate?" He squeaked, sticking out a small hand to greet the guy but he didn't seem to want to shake his hand in that moment from the way he was staring at it with intense boredom. "Jeongguk."

Jeongguk tucked it back in his pocket awkwardly and put a hand on his suitcase giving him a wonky, awkward, smile that the older guy didn't return.

"Yoongi." He said stoically, opening the door ajar and standing to the side to let Jeongguk in.

The younger hastily fumbled for his suitcase and rushed inside before this Yoongi dude could change his mind and slam the door on his face.

Now that'd be tragic.

Just as the boy was about to open his mouth to speak, Yoongi collapsed face first onto his bed on the other side of the room, and fished for his phone form his back pocket.

"What's your insta, imma add you to the chat."

Chat?

Hmmm.

So, Jeongguk told Yoongi his username and sat down on his own bed, one that he'd claimed because there wasn't any other, it baffled him that none of them, expect one, bothered making their beds or tidying their clothes away.

A few seconds later, his phone began to ping up with messages from his coat pocket.

"We don't talk much because I get pissed at them for being loud so we use the chat to vent and shout and shit," Yoongi yawned.

Well, that was certainly one way to handle things.

Jeongguk brought it out with wide eyes, flicking through the past few messages from his supposed dorm members with curiosity.

Didn't take him long for him to figure out they were the chaotic sort.

Their auras were friendly but then again, they could be completely different, Jeongguk wouldn't know until he got to meet them.

"Everyone's in class right now." Yoongi added. "Don't let them freak you out."

"Freak me out?"

"They're a mess but they mean well."

Jeongguk smiled to himself; these guys sounded extra sweet.

He figured he'd for right in.

One particular message stood out though, one that Yoongi huffed at.

tata:
I'm Dom.

Jeongguk furrowed his brows, this guy seemed friendly enough. He decided that he should give him a proper greeting.

babiegoogie:
nice to meet you, Dom, I'm jeongguk :))

The beginning of a new friendship!

Yoongi only snorted.
