------------------Ryder's POV---------------

I looked out of the private jet as we landed in New York. The sun was rising. The skyline was absolutely amazing, it's better than the pictures you see online.

Just like me, I'm better looking in person. ;)

I'm getting off track, hehe. My name is Ryder Andrew Kingston, the heir to Kingston Enterprises. One of the most largest corporations in England.

What am I doing in New York you ask? Well to prove my worth, I'll have to make another branch of Kingston profitable, to finally be the CEO.

But I never wanted to be CEO in the first place.

All I want is to please my parents. Sebastian and Paulina Kingston.

-------------------flashback------------------

A door slammed open.

"Mom! Dad! Look at this painting I made!!" A young, ten year-old Ryder said with enthusiasm in his voice.

He then realised he just interrupted his parent's business meeting. His mother scowled and said, "Not now, Ryder."

The young boy walked out of the door in defeat.

He went back to his room filled with paintings, drawings. The young boy was filled to the brim with creativity. He had such a spark in his eyes.

"Business, business, business. I wish they never had me in the first place."

----------------------------------------------------

The jet landed in John F. Kennedy Airport. I drank the last bit of my Red Wine then and I got off.

"Hello Sir! Welcome to New York!!"

I spun around and saw this short girl dressed formally. She had a clipboard as well, could she be my assigned secretary?

"I'll be your... err.. secretary! My name is Marissa!"

She was blabbling on and on about... well I don't really know to be honest. I don't really care.

We got in the limousine and we set course towards the newly constructed branch of Kingston. It's a little bland but it will do.

"Sir? What do you think of the building? Your father did make it superduper fancy!"

Alright, I guess Marissa is the jumpy, enthusiastic type.

yay.

"It's fine, it's alright." I said as I looked out of the window.

I looked at the sidewalk and saw this girl, her hair was jet black and tied in a messy bun. Judging by her attire she works in a coffee shop. Barista maybe?

Either way she looks absolutely mesmerising.

Our car drove past her, I turned myself around to get a better glimpse of the girl..

Marissa then interrupted my thoughts. "Sir? Is something wrong?" I shook my head and crossed my legs.

We got off the car and went in the building. The newly hired staff greeted me.

"Welcome Sir Kingston!!" They uniformly yelled.

I shook my head and as I was walking to the elevator I said, "No, no, no formalities. Just call me Ryder."

"WOWWW! They didn't say our boss was that handsome!!"

"He's so friendly with us as well! It's gonna be so fun to be working for him!!"
