The kingdom of Kalanthe was well known for its legendary slayers. You were the most famous of them. They called you the Culler, as you were cause of the extremely small monster population. No one knew why, but you had a special talent for finding them in even the remote places of Kalanthe.

You were strolling through the main path when you were stopped by a young woman. She looked to be from the farmlands outside by the looks of her clothing. "Please, Dame (y/n), my brother needs your help," she pleaded. You looked at her for a moment, contemplating if it were a trap or not. Wouldn't be the first time. "It involves a beast and we will pay with whatever we can." You exhaled deeply, "Very well, take me to him."

-_-_-_-_-_-

Outside of the gates, the young girl, Lunaire, led you to her family's farmhouse. Inside, you saw an older looking couple who you assumed were her parents, as well as a boy who looked to have just reached adulthood. "Isaak, I found a slayer. She can kill the snake man," Lunaire told him. "Luna, you found the slayer, the Culler," he looked towards you with shock.

You motioned for him to start telling you about the monster encounter. "Ah, of course, my apologies, dame. So, I was riding back from Red River City, when I made camp in the mouth of a cave next to the river, about 5 hours north of here. I woke up to my horse being spooked by something in the cave. I turn and look to see a giant abomination. It was half snake, half man. It lunged toward me but I just got on my horse and left. You'll know which cave it is, my camp remains should still be there."

You had set off for the naga's lair, at least, you hoped it was a naga. You shuddered at the thought of a snake with human legs.

Upon reaching a hole in the side of a hill, you spotted Isaak's things next to and old campfire. So this was indeed the cave. You pulled out a flask with light green liquid in it. You uncorked the potion and rubbed it on yourself like cologne. Now you just had to stand outside of the lair with your bow drawn. You had never hunted a naga before, but hopefully the pheromones would lure the beast out.

??? POV

I smelled something so euphoric, I was nearly physically drawn towards it. Something inside of me clicked, I knew that this was the scent of my mate. It had to be, nothing else could be so alluring. I had to have the scent closer, or I would go mad. But, I cannot let my instincts get me killed, these lands are full of hunters. I must be clever.

(Y/N) POV

The naga wasn't coming out of the cave, and it neared nightfall. You didn't want to fight it in the dark, nor did you want to rest nearby until the morning. You especially did not want to walk all the way back here tomorrow, that was your day off. You sighed, you were going to have to go in there.

You trudged into the den, walking past abandoned camping supplies and lighting a torch. You had your shortsword in your other hand. On the ground, you started seeing claw marks, animal bones, and something that looked like skin. Yucky. Eventually, you came to what looked like a natural atrium. There was a pile of furs on the ground below the wall opposite to you. You were admiring the soft amounts of natural lighting that trickled into the room, when a rattling sound came from being you. You turned quickly, looking for the culprit, only to see a ribcage that was closer than before.

You wanted to put out your torch and hide, but you were sure the beast had better vision than you in here. You backed up towards the center where the most light was shining through. The light would be your best defense here. You cursed yourself for being stupid enough to walk into enemy territory, but it was too late to get out now. You heard the sound of something smooth dragging across stone, followed almost immediately by more rattling. It was circling you, trying to disorient you, and it was working. You swung your sword at the sounds as a warning, but it did nothing.

The sun was setting and the cavern was growing darker, your torch was also getting shorter. In other words, you had to act fast, or you were fucked. You tried to backup back to the entrance of the cave, but got spooked when a deer carcass was slid toward your feet. You backed up too far and no longer heard your steps clanking upon rock, you looked down to see that you were standing on the mound of furs.

That moment of distraction was all that was needed, you were quickly pushed onto the makeshift bed by something heavy. Before you could realize what had happened, your helmet was thrown off you, and your torch and sword had scattered out of arms reach. Something was licking your cheek. "How lucky am I, my mate walks into my home. No, our home. He had silvery-white hair and green eyes. His slightly tanned skin complimented his black and silver tail.

He moved on to kissing you, your arms being pinned down by his weight. He starts to try and get your armor off while still assaulting your lips. It pulls away long enough for you to catch your breath, "Get off of me, or I will gut you like a fish," you were angry. Not only were you defenseless in a weird and dark cave, but you were not going to be some naga's bitch.

He managed to get your neck exposed while you were threatening him and bit you. You cried in pain. "You can't treat your mate like that," he sneered. "If you tell me your name, I may forgive you. I'll even let you know mine, Saziir." You glared at him, but you didn't want to be bit again, "(Y/N)." "How beautiful." He worked on your underarmor now. All this precious time, wasted by the exchange of names, how smart of the beast.

He roughly kissed you before biting into your neck again, this time it felt weird. You felt more groggy, but also more beguiled by Saziir. You had caught glimpses of him in the fading light. He was attractive, very much so. You couldn't tell if he was the most beautiful thing you had ever seen, or if it was the aphrodisiac thinking so. It didn't matter, all you wanted was him. And you got him. Though, he was the one who truly got you,

And you would never escape.
