Part 10 -

By morning police were all over the house checking every surface for fingerprint's or any other evidence stating that Darrell was here. I really didn't think all this was necessary but Nathan insisted. So far all they've found is fingerprint's on the kitchen lightbulb which explain's why it wouldn't turn on last night and told us that Darrell must have picked the lock on the back door in order to break in. I guess all i can say i'm happy about at the moment is that the police actually believe me this time! Probably because this time i actually have evidence. But seeing as nothing was knowingly stolen and nobody was hurt the only thing they can arrest Darrell for is breaking and entering and that's IF they even find him first, It's been almost eight hour's since he broke in so he could be anywhere by now.

"Well miss Jones we've searched every inch of the house and i'm afraid the fingerprint's are all we were able to find. All we can do now is send them down to our researcher's and hope that they're enough to track this intruder down with before he comes back" Spoke the police officer,

"Okay well thankyou for your time" i replied politely as i showed him to the front door,

"I suppose all i can do now is suggest that you get some security camera's or something fitted in, Just for your own safety" the officer suggested,

"Yes we will definitely look into that" Nathan said as he opened the front door for police officer to leave,

"Well then take care" the officer said with a sympathetic smile on his face as he left.

"Are you really going to get security camera's fitted in?" I asked Nathan, Just to check if he was being serious or not,

"If that's what i've gotta do to keep you safe from Darrell then yes" He replied as he closed the front door and headed toward's the kitchen,

"No Nath, You can't, It'll cost too much" I whined in order to get him to change his mind as i followed him into the kitchen,

"I don't care what it's going to cost. How do you expect any of us to be able to sleep at night knowing Darrell could break in at any moment?" He said firmly whilst raising his eyebrow at me telling me that he wasn't going to back down in this discussion,

"Nathan there's no point you can't protect me from him!" I almost yelled at him, "He's gonna get me! Everytime i runaway he alway's get's me!" I began to cry,

"Not this time he won't, I'll make sure he doesn't" he said softly as he wrapped me up in his arm's,

"But what about when your not here? What if he comes back whilst your working in America and i'm here on my own?" My voice squeaked as my tear's dripped onto Nathan's shirt,

"Then that's what the security camera's will be for, And we'll get a whole new alarm system fitted in aswell" he said,

"But Nathan that's not the point" I shouted in frustration as i pulled away from him,

"It's not just me i'm scared for, I mean he killed my own mum in order to get to me, There's no knowing what he'll do to you if you stand in his way and i can't bare to see him hurt you, I love you too much!" I raised my voice at him as the tear's continued to stream down my face. I then went into shock as i suddenly realised what i'd just said, Oh Dear God was it too soon to tell him that?

"Come here" he said with a slight smile on his face as he came over to me with his arm's open wide ready wrap them around me once again as i buried my face into his chest,

"I don't care what happen's to me" He whispered softly into my ear as he held me close, "I love you too much to see him hurt you" He said, And those are the word's that threw me over the edge of pure happiness, I wasn't crying because i was scared anymore, I was crying because i was soo happy to hear him say he loved me back.
