Goodbye Mom

We just get into Indiana when my phone starts ringing.

^ Phone convo^

"Hello is this Caleb Morningstar," The man on the phone asks

"Yes, it is. Who is this" I ask back

"I'm a detective from the police department of Ohio," He tells me

"What's happened"I questioned

"Your mother was found dead at 4 o'clock in the morning by your stepfather"He informs me

"Well, detective I'm not in the state at the moment. Yesterday at 5 o'clock in the evening me, my friends Jason and Emma, left to go on a road trip for an assignment our economics teacher set for two weeks from now. We wanted to get a head start on it and hopefully have it finished by the end of the week." I tell him

"Thank you for your statement we will be in touch with you soon. Also, Caleb sorry for your loss" He apologizes

I thank him and tell the others about what just happened. They tell me they're sorry for my loss. I tell them that I'm grateful for their condolences but I just want to get to my dad as he's the only family I've got.

"Caleb remember what your dad said about your two halves joining" Emma stated

"Yes I can either kill someone or a friend or a family member can break my heart," I tell her

" Your mom was killed this morning and you're heartbroken right. Meaning your halves are joined" She informs me

"Now I know while I felt dizzy this morning," I say while looking out the window

Emma then hugs me before asking Jason how long we have left and he tells us we have another ten and a half hours left. I then climb into the passenger side where I quickly kiss Jason on the cheek while fastening my seat belt

"Caleb at this rate we will get to the cemetery in 10 hours leaving us half an hour to find the entrance," Jace tells me

"Jace you mean we will get in the cemetery in 10 hours and we will find the entrance in 10 minutes. Remember I can track demonic energies in seconds. The entrance with be full of these energies" I say while holding back the tears

"Hey, It's okay to cry Caleb it's what makes us all human" Jason says while signaling to Emma to take over.

We pull over and Emma takes over for Jason. Jason climbs over the seats into the back where he watches me climbing over the seats. He pulls me close to his chest when he tells me to let it all out.

He sits there listening to me cry while before he sits up to tell me something.

"Listen, Caleb, you may not believe me but your mom was proud of who you are, your mom was impressed with the way that you fought for what you believed in and she was glad that she was able to have a son like you," He tells me while hugging me

"Thanks, Jason but can you keep playing with my hair please it soothes me," I ask him

"Yeah but why did you dye your hair blue," He asks me

"Well, my mom told me about my dad which started the idea of me dying my hair. There were three colors that came to mind they were pink, blue and black" I say while hugging Jason

Ten minutes later me and Jason fell asleep at this point Emma tells us that we're lucky that she packed three bags full of energy drinks. 

Time skip

Ten hours later I announce that we've finally reached the cemetery. Jason and Emma look at me before telling me that I don't have to do this. I tell them I have to before me ears start ringing

"Guys I have always been able to track demonic energies but my ears never rang. I think this is because my soul isn't in two halves it is one whole" I tell them

" Seriously you can find the entrance in ten minutes," Emma and Jace asks me

"Yes, I can give me a second," I tell them

I close my eyes to then see a light figure move to the entrance of a weird looking building in the cemetery. I walk to it while I hear the others walking behind me. We finally get there to see a man wearing a cloak standing there.
