The movie wasn't a very memorable one, it was just finding Nemo. Uraraka found it while scrolling through disney plus. Everyone had gotten more comfortable and most people were just on their phones instead of watching the movie, but no one seemed to mind so it continued playing. My bandages were getting to be crusty with the blood and my burn had begun peeling. Not the most comfortable thing you would imagine. I dropped the replaceable cup of popcorn Mina had cooked for me and grunted. I leaned down to pick it up, only for my skin to rip off my back as if it were peeling paint being torn off a wall.

I winced slightly and picked the cup up with my two fingers and set it on the coffee table before I stood. "I'll be back" I whispered to Mina, she nodded, not looking up from the tiktok she was watching.

I quietly shuffled up the stairs, the carpet tickling my feet as I dragged them. I reached the bathroom and slowly walked in before gingerly sitting on the rim of the bathtub. I took off my shirt and snaked my hands around my neck and to my burnt back. I ran my fingers across the leathery burn. I bit my lip in an attempt to hold back tears. How could I have been so useless? I should've moved faster. I sniffed and brought my hands down to sit in my lap, I held my own hand and softly stroked my knuckles with my thumb. I lowered my head, my hair falling in front of my eyes slightly.

I'm just so weak, the pro heroes overestimated my quirk when they enrolled me. Damn. I took a deep breath and stood walking to the sink, I stared at my bare skin in the mirror before sliding the reflection to the side and grabbing the first aid kit out of the small cabinet. I slid it closed and began unwrapping the bandages Kaminari helped me with earlier. He was so kind to me, but, what cost was it for him? What did he get out of it? Pleasure? Pain? Who knows. I tossed the once white strips of gauze in the bin and looked at my forearms. Nail marks and scars from my past self harm, with just a tad bit of bruises from my step mother gripping my arm too roughly.

I opened the small box and took out the new gauze and began wrapping it around the still burning scratches. I stayed silent as I did, soon moving to the next arm and finishing not long after that. I cleared my throat and put the box back into the cabinet. I stared at my reflection, my eyes bloodshot from the lack of sleep, my lips cracked and my hair a mess. I sighed and brushed my hair out of my face before combing my fingers through my hair and putting it into a lazy ponytail. I tried smiling at myself, but it came out a crooked one. I frowned and shook my head before I put my shirt back on and stepped out, turning off the light.

I turned straight into none other then my involuntary roommate, Bakugou. I flinched slightly and stepped back, "Sorry, I didn't expect someone to be right outside the door" I mumbled, he huffed and glared at me, "What was taking you so long? I had to go find another bathroom" He growled. I chewed the inside of my cheek and shrugged, "I was just changing them" I smiled slightly and held up my wrists. He reached out, I flinched. An all too familiar response I give to people attempting to touch me. "The hell? Did you think I was going to hit you or some shit?" He grunted and grabbed my wrist gently, taking it up to his face as he looked at the bandages cooly.

We stood there, in silence as he continued to examine the white gauze. "Everyone's gone by the way." He grumbled as he let my wrist go. I nodded and walked downstairs, beginning to pick up the blankets and fold them. Bakugou came down soon after me and leaned against the door frame of the kitchen. I put everything away and looked back to him, he was just zoned out, looking at the wall, seemingly in his own world. I walked over to him and poked his chest, we were about the same height so our noses were almost touching. "I'm finished, let's go to bed." He nodded and turned on his heel before bounding up the stairs like a wild dog.

I smiled weakly and chuckled, thought it was more of just air coming out of my nose. I followed behind him and walked into my room, Bakugou already having gotten comfortable in bed and was screwing around on his phone. I gently sat on the mattress and winced when my back hit the headboard. "The fuck was that for?" Bakugou asked as he glared at me. "It just hurts" I choked, my chin scrunching up and my brows coming together. The vulnerability disgusted me, but I couldn't stop the tears from falling from my eyes.

He sighed and sat up next to me in the same position. He turned his phone off and set it aside as he reached up and patted my hair gently. My eyes widened and I looked at him through foggy vision. His head stayed forward and the glare that scared most of my classmates sat on his face. Quiet tears slipped from my eyes and made small tapping sounds on the pillow next to me. I turned my face back to the front of my room and scooted my knees up to my chest. Resting my face on my knees, his hand never left my hair, his calloused fingers ran over it repeatedly. When his hand fell from my head, it started back up again, his calming strokes on my crown.

I sniffed into my pants and let the last of the tears fall before I wiped my damp cheeks and looked at him, "Thank you, Bakugou." He made his signature 'tch' sound and glanced at me, "whatever" he rolled his eyes and slid down into a sleeping position. I did the same, but slower. My back burned as I rested on the sheets, I sighed and pulled the blanket over myself. "Goodnight Bakugou" I mumbled, "Night, (y/n)" he responded before we both drifted off to sleep.
