I was on my way to X factor. I had always wanted to perform, but I was always too young. I was terrified but I really wanted to impress the judges, especially Simon! I practiced my vocals on the way there, doing voice warm ups and my mum (Anne) gave me a pep talk. I was five minutes away, trying to stay calm..
I had arrived. It was very busy, I waited in a long queue and they filmed me talk about myself, ready to be on TV. All contestants had to wait in a separate room before they performed on stage. My parents and sister went into a separate room so they could watch me from the side of the stage, and congratulate me if I got through...or make me feel better if I didn't. At this moment, I was in the waiting room, sipping water so I wasn't thirsty and didn't have a dry throat while singing. I went to the bathroom first (just incase). When I walked in there was a boy. 'oops' I laughed. 'hi' he replied. It was kind of awkward but he seemed nice. I went back out to the waiting room until I saw him again. He caught my eye like nobody else. He looked scared just like me, he looked around my age or maybe a bit older. I found him..unique and I wanted to be his friend. I looked at him for a while, he laughed a lot. I think he saw me staring, I quickly turned away, then looked back and he gave me a side smile.
'Louis Tomlinson, you are up' a loud voice said
The boy I was looking at stood up, I guess his name is Louis. I thought it was a cute name, Lou for short:) While he walked out he looked at me again, we didn't lose eye contact and we weren't smiling. My head was faced down but my eyes were looking up. He winked at me then left the room. I looked around to see the other contestants but none of them were interesting like Louis. I watched his audition through the screen in the waiting room, I didn't stop smiling the whole time. He was so sweet and talented. I wanted to get to know him more, I felt like we would get on well together. My mind was so focused on Louis I forgot everything else.
'Harry styles, you're up!' The same loud voice said. I was petrified. Will they like me? Will I mess up? Will louis think I'm good?...
