"What?!" I said, quite loudly. "What?!" Said Ana. " I'm sorry honey, but we're moving to Phoenix, Arizona in two months." I was in utter shock at the news I had just heard. I looked at Ana and she was shocked as well.
Moving means new school, new house, new friends. Transferring to a new school in the middle of the year is hard. " I wanted to tell you this morning but I didn't get the chance," said my mom.
"So...new house?" "Yup!" "New school?" "Yup!" "New friends?" My mom looked at Ana and hesitated. "Yup."
I wasn't shocked anymore. Now I was just sad and angry. My mom told me that we're going to go look for houses in Arizona over winter break.
~~~~~~~~ four days later~~~~~~~~
"This house is an old house. It was built 50 years ago. It's priced at $435,000. It really has that ancient feel to the home." "That's definitely in our price range," said my mom to my dad.
We walked into the home and I was immediately creeped out. The realtor said it was 50 years old, but it looks like it's been abandoned for all 50 years. It's a rusty old two-story house. I was definitely NOT excited about this house. My parents felt the total opposite. They weren't creeped out, they loved the house. They said it was the best one they'd seen so far. I looked at them like I was confused.
"Do you like the house sweetie?" "It's...creepy." "Creepy?" "Yeah. I just have a feeling that it's not a great house." " I love this house!"
~~~~~~~~~~ back in L.A.~~~~~~~~
"So how was the house searching Ava?" "We saw a really old and creepy house. It was like 50 years old and looked abandoned. I had a really bad feeling about it. The bad thing is..my parents loved it!"
