Background On The Characters.

Authors note: This is NOT a real chapter!! This is an explanation to why the characters in this have the names of fruit.

A male sat at a table in a cafe, a cafe called "Minty Leaf Tea", not his cafe, but he worked at that small business. The boy sat and stared at the wall across from him, this boy had a leaf growing out of his head. It sprouted out of his florissant yellow hair. His eyes matched this little plant it had the same charm and the same bright green as his leaf. His leaf drooped, it looked dead. He felt knives pressing against his heart, he could snap any minute and not care. He was lifeless yet he lived.
There was also a taller male in the kitchen, his kitchen. His coyote like ears drooped in the same way the leaf did, lifeless, but he indeed was not lifeless. He had two sparks of light that still managed to illuminate his life, a kitchen and a boy. He did not in fact own the boy but he wished to, the boy was tall, a red headed German, he loved the boy. But why the dead leaf? Why the droopy ears? More on that later.
Then there was a short male in the back, he was behind a computer, a bright smile was stretched across his face. You would think he was the one with the most potential for a good life, but he has the least. A deep desaturated pink scar was indented into his lip that reached from his chin to his cheek. This scar created a large gap between his lips that exposed his left canine tooth. This was indeed an accident. A mere "mistake", a self destruct button planted deep in another boys DNA. A self destruct button that could classify this boy as a living nuke. The short male happened to be near when this happened, the heat grazed his face and cut threw it like a knife.
These young males were the end product of a failed experiment that caused multiple mutations in creatures and humans alike and took the world by storm almost a million years ago. Since then the world had to overcome multiple changes in the government, changes in jobs, and much more. It was a failed science experiment to turn animals human, it was going well, until they performed it on a purple squid, the squid didn't turn into a human but was given the smartness of a human. The squid's name is Allen, since then he has multiple children making squid human hybrids. But the scientists persisted and performed these experiments on more fish, birds, dogs, cats, etc. all of them failed so they released them not knowing that they had the logic and instincts of a human. They started breeding creating more hybrid. The scientists didn't stop there, they started turning objects human giving the human figure the ability of the objects, for example the human nuke. This has now become normal and the pure human population has narrowed to 2%.

So you see, they are fruit.... turned human.
