Chapter 2: First day

I woke up around 4:30am to prepare.

Almost 3 months rin ako naging unemployed since we graduated college kaya nakakapanibago talaga na kailangan ko nang magising ng maaga. Although 15 mins lang naman ang travel time ko, gumigising parin ako ng maaga para i-meditate sarili ko.

'Kaya mo to, Circle. Makaka-alis ka rin dito.'

Around 6am na ng magsimula akong mag asikaso. Thank heavens may pasok si Mama ngayon kaya maaga siyang nag handa
ng agahan. Otherwise, baka mag-cereal nanaman ako.

"Good Morning Kel!", energetic na bati ni Mama, "Ready kana ba sa first day of work?"

"Gusto ko na mag resign", pagmamaktol ko.

"Ay! Ano ba yan anak?", inabot naman ni Mama ang plato ko na puno ng kanin. "Wag ganyan ha. Dapat magpasalamat ka at natanggap ka sa work mo na yan."

I rolled my eyes.

"Can't I just go to Canada instead?"

She stared at me as if I said something ridiculous. Then she shook her head, "In God's perfect time, anak."

Yeah right.

"Sinasabi ko sayo Mama. One day. One day talaga mag mimigrate ako sa Canada!"

Actually Mama. Soon, mag mimigrate na ako sa Canada.

Instead of listening to my rants. She focused on preparing for my younger sister's food.

I arrived one hour earlier than my actual shift. Of course I have to act properly since this is my first day. I wore my light blue top and black pencil skirt and an inch of black shoes. I look.. decent. Almost as if hindi ako 'to.

"You are Ms. Circle Olongapo, right?", a bright, cheery voice said behind my back.

A tall and very sophisticated looking lady welcomed me. "Hi! I'm April. I'll be touring you to the department before we start to your job"

Ugh.

".. And this is our Digital Marketing Team. This will be your family here", she said almost excited. "Guys meet Circle"

A short haired lady waved her hands at me, "Ang cute naman ng name mo! Circle talaga ang real name mo?"

Here we go again with the name explanation. "Uhm, yes. Pero you guys can call me Kel instead."

"Oooh", they all said in unison.

There are at least 5 of them. As what Ms. April said, yung short haired girl's name is Eunice. Yung tall girl na rbf ang look ay si Mara. Yung girl na naka glass at naka hoodie na black naman ay si Boni. Yung guy na semi-kalbo na kamukha ni Tanaka sa haikyuu naman ay si Oscar and yung guy na medyo chubby ang face pero may nasesense ako na gay-dar sa kanya ay si Rod.

Pero as far as I'm aware of.. anim dapat sila.

"May isa pa kami. Bago lang rin siya, pero since masyado pa namang maaga baka mamaya pa yun papasok", explain sakin ni Ms. April. As if para bang nabasa niya iniisip ko.

After ako ma-introduce ni Ms. April sa locations and basic information sa office, pinaupo niya ako sa bakanteng workstation sa tabi niya. Ang daming process and deadlines pala ang dapat kong gawin starting today. Kinakabahan ako sa paraan ng pag-explain sakin ng mga gagawin ko.

"Good morning", a deep voice boomed inside the room.

He's wearing a light blue top with a jet black neck tie. Damn, he looks absolutely cool. Plus pa yung pabango niya!
