Fear is programmed into the hard drive of our brains; software corrupted with an ineradicable virus. Making us paranoid, terrified to even open our eyes for fear of what we'll see in the mirror. We run from the monsters we can see, but no one ever tells you how to battle the monster within your very soul. That's the thing about humanity, we end up being our own worst enemy.
That is because as long as you look physically fine, there is nothing wrong with you, no unspoken illness, no issues, you're just crazy. Because otherwise they'd have to admit it, that humanity is and always has been doomed; we are flawed. Rotting away, decaying, dying, we are the bringers of our own chaos and destruction.
The real question is, would you press the button?
